@ImperialGuard9001 They were Germans of the First World War kind, but remember that at that time they looked too after a peace or armistice with the Allies when they were sure that the war was or lost or senseless and that their leader then, the Kaiser, was finished .They tried again to get an armistice with the Allies from 1942 to 1945 as it was evident that they would lose the war and that Germany would be destroyed.

@metacosmos I admire Stauffenberg and his co conspirators try to do. I think it would not change a lot since Allies(Western) would refuse anny peace treaty but at least they had the "balls" if I may or the bravery to try to pull it off if you saw your country drowing what would you do? Now Stauffenberg is by no means a hero of "Democratical Resistance" as so many oportunistic low politicians like to make in Germany.
