Customs...I think they enjoy that part. No more surprise gifts to friends overseas... Last one: a present I sent to France. They made me write on a card exactly what was inside. Then they secured the card - prominently - to the outside of the package. :o(
Kevin! Glad you got the swag. We made sure customs mashed the Ricetards all nice for ya.
Let that be a lesson to all of you who enter our contests--you'll likely win. I think everyone who's entered each one of our contests has won, in fact.
Thanks for requesting the one overweight customs agent in japan to sit on it!! hehe
It was a great prize pack.
I'm of course still listening to the show every week and loving it. This week's with Michael Hurt was awesome. He's a well spoken and knowledgeable guy!
Awesome! I would love to get a gift bag like that! Those "tards" look tasty! :D
If anyone who lives near a Japanese store is interested in the earpick, it's called "mimikaki" in Japanese. Surprisingly, they aren't harsh on your ears at all! Give it a try! :)
lol i think that rice tard is the short form of rice custard? haha and that socks..the character on those socks is from korean drama which is based on Japanese manga.
Any country where I need to carry a special sign to prevent people from sticking their fingers up my butt is a place I might think twice about visiting. XD
it isnt a anime character, or cartoon character. It's Yi-Jeong from Boys over Flowers. In South Korea they make a lot of character/celeb. socks. I have the wondergirls socks that i got from myeongdong^^ i have all the members!
they're so cute~ i think rice tard is like rice custard but without the cus in the word custard or something . . . it isn't a new product though.
I went there for a vacation in April. It was a good time. I still have some treats I got there (soju chocolate) that will be featured in an upcoming video!
i think it was on air earlier this year or late last year? not sure. but basically the show is the korean version of the japanese manga turned anime turned live action show hana yori dango.
lol , the 'sticking fingers up ur butt' is rather scary compared to (idk if canadians do this too) the wet willi,e where someone wets their finger and shoves it in your ear, i prefer my ear over my butt O_o nice videos dude keep em' up
Kevin, Why do you think the Japanese customs opened the package? I am really curious as to what item in the package cought thier eye and needed inspection. Any ideas? do they say why on the sticker? did they take anything out?
I have no idea why they opened it! Maybe random, maybe cause it was being mailed to a foreigner in Japan. Maybe because of the hightened tensions between North Korea and Japan. dunno....everything was intact though :)
When you first showed the phone accessory....lol... I instantly remembered a past video about love hotels and thought it was a warning against "anal" (can I say this on youtube?) haha. WOW, good thing you translated that for us!
Well, it wasn't a video specifically on love hotels, but you mentioned them in your video about your first day at work in Korea and also when you went back to Korea on vacation you were walking by some. :)
'Ddongchim' would be fatal crime to someone who suffers from piles. The anus is very vulnerable to external factors more than u think. KevinTeacher! God bless ur anus! XD
I...don't think i've seen anyone be so optimistic about gift 'bags' consisting of poop chains, tard cakes and metal brain probes lol. But thats why i love the asian culture. Its creepy/weird and cool at the same time.
Great to see you overcoming the (was it) cultural laziness (my memory?)...knowing how to inform people you would not like them to stick their fingers up your ass is a very beneficial piece of knowledge lmao...cheers for a very funny vid mate ; D
dang man you crank your videos out nonstop! how do you get the time? i wish i could make mine with little to no editing and they would still be decent, but i am so nit picky about having even a few second of down time. Also i watched your vid about how to get more popular on youtube which was really good. I know you said keep things short. Do you think my FAQs are too long? on average i hit about 7 minutes.
I have a problem....it's called "unable to relax syndrome"! I don't know how to just sit and "do nothing." Either I'm working, studying, at the gym, running or making vids, but....but...I completely dislike downtime. These days, I also shoot vids with the end product in mind. I have very little time for editing so I try to do them in large chunks or even in one take.
I suppose my style is constantly changing and evolving.
Man, if any of my friends tried giving me that version of a wedgie I would bicycle kick em in the nuts! On a better note, I bet those Rice Tards would taste pretty good with a cup of coffee;-p
Sure - a podcast about life in South Korea sounds interesting, but when are they gonna have a podcast about life in North Korea? That I would listen to! :D
