  • Customs...I think they enjoy that part. No more surprise gifts to friends overseas... Last one: a present I sent to France. They made me write on a card exactly what was inside. Then they secured the card - prominently - to the outside of the package. :o(

  • had a japanese girlfriend in university that would cleanmy ears with one of those little shovels, felt so good!

  • mmmmmmm rice tards

  • It's more like Toeng jim geumji.

  • Why did they open your pack?

Was it cause it was from Korea going into Japan and they get all suspicious and stuff?

  • Kevin! Glad you got the swag. We made sure customs mashed the Ricetards all nice for ya.

Let that be a lesson to all of you who enter our contests--you'll likely win. I think everyone who's entered each one of our contests has won, in fact.

  • Thanks for requesting the one overweight customs agent in japan to sit on it!! hehe

It was a great prize pack.

I'm of course still listening to the show every week and loving it. This week's with Michael Hurt was awesome. He's a well spoken and knowledgeable guy!

  • today there not called tards but tarts ha

  • Best line ever in that wiki article.

"While the practice is known in South Korea, there have been cases where adults performing it have been arrested."

  • Kevin , how do i get that cell phone charm! I Love the "don't stick your finger in my butt"! can i buy it from you????

  • Awesome! I would love to get a gift bag like that! Those "tards" look tasty! :D

If anyone who lives near a Japanese store is interested in the earpick, it's called "mimikaki" in Japanese. Surprisingly, they aren't harsh on your ears at all! Give it a try! :)

  • what do u call the type of people that just continue eating egg tarts???

    The re-tards!!

  • I love how Asians have a fecal fascination. I got a japanese cellphone charm of a little girl on a toilet... apparently that is cute LOL

  • Oooh!!! So that's why Kakashi did that finger shove thing to Naruto! lol

  • LOL this is sooo funny! shit shove and rice retards... hehehe!! Great video!

  • "Don't stick your fingers in my butt" lmao!

  • lol i think that rice tard is the short form of rice custard? haha and that socks..the character on those socks is from korean drama which is based on Japanese manga.

  • Do the socks even have your size? *lol*

But I guess it's always great to win anything.

  • They look a little small, but I'll try them anyway!

  • BTW, you are one lucky SOB to get a prize pack of such awesome proportions.

  • It is an amazing compilation of cool stuff!

  • Any country where I need to carry a special sign to prevent people from sticking their fingers up my butt is a place I might think twice about visiting. XD

  • haha....good point!

  • looks like someone sat on the tards.

  • yeah....I think someone at customs did. they arrived at my place like that :(

  • woot! free stuuuuff!!!! no touchy

  • it isnt a anime character, or cartoon character. It's Yi-Jeong from Boys over Flowers. In South Korea they make a lot of character/celeb. socks. I have the wondergirls socks that i got from myeongdong^^ i have all the members!

they're so cute~ i think rice tard is like rice custard but without the cus in the word custard or something . . . it isn't a new product though.

  • I bought some Shin Ramen socks in April when I was visiting Korea!

  • my brother got the shin ramen boxers

when we were visiting for a week

  • wow...that's way better than socks!

  • ㅠㅠyeah...way better.

he also bought the 5 dollar won boxers too

  • thats like the greatest keychain ever! Lol.

  • I is indeed!

  • Awesome video again! I started watching your video not too long ago and now I watch it whenever its out! Keep it up! =D

  • Thanks a lot....keep watching :)

  • lol@rice tard

i smell a new asian insult in the making

yo busankevin, cotton swaps just push the wax further in. you should get a rubber ear syringe instead

  • does that hurt?

  • not all all. its like when the doctor flushes it out, but it doesnt use as much pressure

  • Well i guess that's not for me...

the last time the doctor flushed my ear out, the water came out of my nose and eyes. It was the worst pain I've ever felt to this date.

  • I've never tried one of those...sounds scary!

  • Hahaha nice video. you're pretty good in Korean. Even sounded korean as well ;). i cant wait to go back to busan for a vacation next month.

  • I went there for a vacation in April. It was a good time. I still have some treats I got there (soju chocolate) that will be featured in an upcoming video!

  • A "don't stick your fingers in my butt" keychain... nice :P

As if you actually have to buy a keychain to let other people know you don't want them to do that.

^^ That part really cracked me up. Awesome video!

  • Looks like Christmas came early for you BusanKev.

  • it was. It was pretty awesome. I think it will be time for me to have a contest soon!

  • Comment removed

  • Nice one mate, congrats on the win!

You have to a make a video of you wearing the socks haha ;)

  • the socks were cute. XD yi jung from boys over flowers. haha

and rice tards were so funny. XD

  • ah....ok.I wasn't sure what the socks were about. That tv show wasn't on tv when I lived in Korea

  • i think it was on air earlier this year or late last year? not sure. but basically the show is the korean version of the japanese manga turned anime turned live action show hana yori dango.

it's pretty cheesy and therefore awesome. XD

  • rice tard...cusTARD hahahaha...epic

  • I know...awesomeness!

  • Un petit sanctuaire, tu voudrais dire.

  • Ein kleines Heiligtum möchtest du sagen! :)

  • lol , the 'sticking fingers up ur butt' is rather scary compared to (idk if canadians do this too) the wet willi,e where someone wets their finger and shoves it in your ear, i prefer my ear over my butt O_o nice videos dude keep em' up

  • me too....I'd rather a wet willy any day to a kanco!

  • the cellphone strap was just awesome! I wish I could give it to each and every single one of my students lol

  • It is really cool indeed!

  • Kevin, Why do you think the Japanese customs opened the package? I am really curious as to what item in the package cought thier eye and needed inspection. Any ideas? do they say why on the sticker? did they take anything out?

  • I have no idea why they opened it! Maybe random, maybe cause it was being mailed to a foreigner in Japan. Maybe because of the hightened tensions between North Korea and Japan. dunno....everything was intact though :)

  • Wow!! That is F-ing hilarious!! "Rice tard" lol

When you first showed the phone accessory....lol... I instantly remembered a past video about love hotels and thought it was a warning against "anal" (can I say this on youtube?) haha. WOW, good thing you translated that for us!

  • hehe...I didn't see the vid about the love hotels. Yeah...it is a damn funny cell phone accessory!

  • Well, it wasn't a video specifically on love hotels, but you mentioned them in your video about your first day at work in Korea and also when you went back to Korea on vacation you were walking by some. :)

  • ah yeah...sorry...my bad! I forgot about that one. Yes indeed....my love hotel/red light district vid :)

  • I guess when you have so many good videos, it's easy to forget some here and there!

  • Wow you can read Hangul letters!! I like the Kanchou strap :)

  • yep....I can read, but have forgotten almost everything I knew about speaking.

  • Nice stuff! :D

  • 'Ddongchim' would be fatal crime to someone who suffers from piles. The anus is very vulnerable to external factors more than u think. KevinTeacher! God bless ur anus! XD

  • Well....luckily, where I work, kanchos aren't fashionable!

  • I think we need to see you making use of *ALL* of these objects.

    (笑)

  • haha! Only the rice tards! Maybe I'll wear the sock in a video!

  • socks, butt holes, and rice tards XD awesome vid man.

  • Yep....I covered all the bases!

  • A pair of socks, a cell phone accessory telling you not to stick your fingers up other peoples butts, an ear pick, and a box of rice tards......

Man Japan is such a wierd country, but that's why I love it.

  • Those weird stuffs came from Korea. lol though I agree with u tht Japan is a weird country.

  • Your right. I wasn't listening when he said Korea.

  • Actually....all of those things came from South Korea!

  • Yeah, I wasn't paying attention when you said that.

  • have you made any friends there?

  • I...don't think i've seen anyone be so optimistic about gift 'bags' consisting of poop chains, tard cakes and metal brain probes lol. But thats why i love the asian culture. Its creepy/weird and cool at the same time.

  • WTG Kevin. Rice tards That is wicked. :)

  • They are indeed. I still haven't tried one yet. i'm saving that for a video!

  • Great to see you overcoming the (was it) cultural laziness (my memory?)...knowing how to inform people you would not like them to stick their fingers up your ass is a very beneficial piece of knowledge lmao...cheers for a very funny vid mate ; D

  • yes....if you're teaching kids at a language school...BEWARE!

  • dang man you crank your videos out nonstop! how do you get the time? i wish i could make mine with little to no editing and they would still be decent, but i am so nit picky about having even a few second of down time. Also i watched your vid about how to get more popular on youtube which was really good. I know you said keep things short. Do you think my FAQs are too long? on average i hit about 7 minutes.

  • I have a problem....it's called "unable to relax syndrome"! I don't know how to just sit and "do nothing." Either I'm working, studying, at the gym, running or making vids, but....but...I completely dislike downtime. These days, I also shoot vids with the end product in mind. I have very little time for editing so I try to do them in large chunks or even in one take.

I suppose my style is constantly changing and evolving.

  • Dong chim! Kancho!LOL! The bane of English teachers in Asia!

  • Indeed....our mortal enemy indeed!!!! I unfortunately received one just yesterday :(

  • nice. Enjoy your tards.

  • I can't wait to eat a tard....

  • the rice tards look nice :P cant wait to see your vid of them

  • Man, if any of my friends tried giving me that version of a wedgie I would bicycle kick em in the nuts! On a better note, I bet those Rice Tards would taste pretty good with a cup of coffee;-p

  • Sure - a podcast about life in South Korea sounds interesting, but when are they gonna have a podcast about life in North Korea? That I would listen to! :D

  • I wonder how many times would they mention great leader in their podcast :D

    Awesome video Kevin! :)

  • yaay for schwag.

  • lol you sounded like a pirate when you said "Tard"

  • tard

  • Interesting fact: Please keep your fingers to yourselves. Thought that was only done in Anime, scary to learn it's really done. LMFAO @ Rice Tard.

  • I did use that word too. Glad see you won!

Im going take a listen to the podcast !
