  • When I was a kid, this was literally the funniest thing I had ever seen.

  • that frog never sold out. good for him.

  • F#$@*&@ frog... lol

  • Essa rã é muito sacana! kkkkk

  • Eu procurei esse desenho animado feito doida!!

    Obrigada por postar.

    Baixei até no meu celular!!!!

  • lol that frog ruined his life

  • I absolutely loved this cartoon:D Man I miss Looney Tunes in general.

  • do the math, that frog is at least 164 years old by the end of the cartoon

  • Jajajajajajajaj, gracias por este regalo. Hace tanto tiempo que no veía esta caricatura...amo esta rana.

  • Classic, just classic lol.

  • In my opinion, this is the GREATEST cartoon ever made. All the Looney Tunes people were genius' (Chuck Jones, Mel Blanc, etc.).

  • that is one old frog!

  • I always felt so bad for this dude!

  • I like that Mel Brooks worked this routine in to his parody of Alien in his movie Spaceballs.

  • CLASSIC! I used to have a vhs box set of loony tunes when I was younger and always remembered this one!

I love when he makes the frogs floppy legs move with his fingers LOL!

    Thanks for uploading! Legend! :D

  • The dates on the stones are 1892 and 1955 respectively. He opens him up

and the date on the stone is 1892... The date on the stone he seals him in

is 1955. But is that what 1955 looked like? Seems more like the 1920s given

the outfit of the police officer who tells him to "keep moving"... That said, the

songs he sings seem from the 1930s... The comedy is in part about being

out of synch with the timeline.

  • This cartoon was featured in Son of the Mask

  • Best part is when the frog and "onwer" are are at the theater. Before an audience, the frog stops performing. Michigan J. croaks at the audience. M.J. frog and his "owner" are booed at, and objects are thrown at the curtain.

  • aaaaah the good ol days when TV was actually watchable. I bet 90% of the people on here have no idea what this is from

  • HELLO MY BABY, HELLO MA HONEY!

the best cartoon! Michigan J Frog rulez

  • As Steven Spielberg says "The Citizen Kane of animated films"

  • This was voted the greatest cartoon ever !

    Great stuff !

  • I have a "Michigan" stuffed frog (complete with top hat ) that I keep on my desk at work. When you press his stomach, he sings" Hello, my baby, hello, my honey..." When things are getting a little stale and boring around our workplace, I press his stomach and let him sing out over our PA ! Everyone loves it! :) Next to Bugs Bunny and the "Monster", this is my favorite Merrie Melodies cartoon of all time.

  • This is the shit, man! Absolutely brilliant stuff. The gang at Warner Brothers were masters.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • This cartoon that was selected in the National Film Registry as being "culturally significant" never gets old does it? This is perhaps my most favourite Chuck Jones cartoon right next to Duck Amuck and What's Opera Doc and they were all selected too.

  • a true classic...

  • only trouble with this is that there was no other possible story for the frog that would've been as good. so, he was limited to this one cartoon.

  • Check out the damage the wrecking ball does at the start. Smashing!

  • Everybody do the Michigan Rag

    Everybody likes the Michigan Rag

Every Mame and Jane and Ruth

    From Weehauken to Duluth

    Slide, ride, glide the Michigan

    Stomp, romp, pomp the Michigan

Jump, pump, hump the Michigan Rag

    That loved rag!

  • A MASTERPIECE!

Never gets old and it doesn't matter what language you speak.

Anyone in the world will get the humor and laugh.

They sure don't make them like this any more.

  • I have never seen a "set list" for this short before. Kudos! :)

  • "Hello! Ma Baby" "The Michigan Rag" "Come Back to Erin" "I'm Just Wild About Harry" "Throw Him Down, McCloskey" "The Michigan Rag" reprise "Won't You Come Over To My House" "Largo al factotum" "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone" "Hello! Ma Baby" reprise
  • @gtz1975 I'm impressed. Still, this cartoon is ageless. lol
