Consumerism disturbs me to the utter depth of my soul. It's a great evil on mankind. Everyday I fight with the greed that has been instilled in me since early childhood, and see that this consumerism is like something of a religion, an alternative to the Judeo/Christian God of our fathers. I fear it may be too late to get back to simpler life now. So much of this evil started with the invention of power plants that stayed on 24 hours.

You know, I am getting sick to death of this type of message. Enough with this demonization with mainstream society. So fucking what if people buy and use goods and services. This whole video smacks of Elitism, Puritanism and, in a way, borderline facism: Who are you to tell me what a free meaningful life is?
I wish more of our culture could see this video and wake up and realize that they are being enslaved by the media and force fed a heavy consumer diet. Its the biggest lie and tragedy of our century and wether we realize it or not consumerism/our economy has become the religion of our time. Every time we turn on the tv and watch adds every night its part if the constant sermon we are being told to go out and buy things not to mention the effect this is having on the health of our planet as whole
Why does this guy feel the need to talk so softly whiledoing tis video. Also did you hear the music behind the words...It seems that he too has picked up the brainwash methods to try to get inside your head. He has some valid points, but I think his technique sucks... The tone and music just turns me off.
I already want to scream each time I go into shop and realize, that 99% of the wares there are just total nonsense, filled with food additives, etc, etc.
Good point, but what is the alternative? Our economies die without consumers. People are so "drugged" by their "stuff" that they pay little to no attention as the tyrants (politicians) who swear an oath to defend our Constitution and Bill of Rights, destroy it law by new law right under our noses. That great feeling of buying that "new toy" is so short lived isn't it? Thanks.
We start our life as artists and creative spirits. Before we learn to speak we sing songs by forming sounds, next we become sculptors by making mud pies then we become painters, drawing and coloring ideas
Then we go to school and become ignorant know it all consumers glued to the tell lie vision entrainment when we aren't forced to be in our school prisons
Our parents are the brain dead role models raising and training crops of mindless consumers for the state
consumerism is a bad thing that has bothered us for several generations.
Though your bring it to another schitzo level..
Sway it off into your schitzo mind, but dont bother the else of.
