Travel: Transatlantic: QE2-Time to Say Goodbye

I was there as well. These stills are excellent, as well as the music. It's always nice to see someone else's vision of what was the last great liner of the 20th century leaving Manhattan for the last time.

That last day, 21 October, was amazingly poignant. The sunset was so picturesque and unforgettable as we parted with QM2. I cried the morning I disembarked.

@gdcat777 Thank you so much for your very kind comments. I feel a special kinship with everyone who made this final journey. All goodbyes are difficult, but this was like saying goodbye to someone you love knowing you will never see them again. I listened to many mournful stories from fellow travellers as we were lined up to disembark, some barely able to hold back tears, some letting them roll.
