  • Thanx for posting this. Despite the fact that there are only 2 albums, 2 bonus songs, 1 live song and about 6 youtube videos, I think I listen to this band more than any other. Mimi Goese's voice will always thrill, excite, melt and terrify me at the same time. Her work with Moby (at least 2 videos plus a live performance) and some other stuff she's working on (also available on youtube) ABSOLUTELY MUST be heard ! Look for some on my channel. I'll try to post links later. Again, thanx much.

  • Finally I found this band!!!!!!

  • been looking for this for years , thanxs, they played in san francisco in 89 too bad i cant remember the concert

  • No, Bjork is from the Sugar Cubes. They are great too! Check out Birthday, a song that made them famous in the US...I saw Mimi in NYC doing her performance art. It was in 1993. Wish I could have seen Hugo Largo at the Einstein a-go-go in Jacksonville back in the 80's. College radio played their Eskimo Song.

  • Oh! Thank you for posting this, I have never seen them perform before - never even knew what they looked like. What a treat after all these years! [btw, I decided to search YouTube today because one of their lyrics was stuck in my head: color landscapes echoing vivid blues and brilliant reds.] What a great underrated band. Thanks again.

  • Drum is one of my favourie albums of all time. She is bonkers though.

  • Hugo Largo is metal.

  • saw them TRANSMUSICALES Rennes ... Ubu club ... scary and magic ....

  • i have always loved hugo largo...mettle and drum...is this the girl from sugar cubes?

  • It's neither Björk nor Magga, but Mimi, who was never in Sugarcubes.

  • I love this band's music more than life itself, but Mimi's shtick has always made me want to pull my eyes out of their sockets.

  • Thanks so, so, so much for posting this stuff. Dear God I wish I'd seen them when they were around.

    Doesn't get better than this.

  • Does anybody here know where I can get their version "Gloria In Excelsius"? They did it for a Warner Bros. Christmas album in '88. This is beautiful, BTW.

  • And I thought that I was the only one that absolutely adored this band. Check them out on MySpace. There's a song called "Unclear" that's not on any of their albums and I believe was taken live from the concert that "Scream Tall" above was taken from. It is incredibly beautiful, like pretty much all their material. What a magical band they were. I have an promo LP where Brian Eno introduces the band and speaks about them for about 30 minutes while snippets of their music plays in the back.

  • i bought both albums (cds) as they came out...loved them...cant find them since...any clue how to get my hands on them???

  • Man I love you for posting this! One of the best bands ever...

  • Amazing! I've never seen live footage.

I wonder if there's a better quality copy...

  • Fucking brilliant band ! I really love these guys.....

  • People either "get" them or they don't.

I am glad I "get" them.

    AWESOME!!!

  • Drum. Only one of the best albums of all time. Brilliant. It's like a good dream to find this.

  • Thank you so much i LOVE hugo largo

  • Right fucking on for posting this. FINALLY!

  • Mimi rocks!

  • oooh! what a find! thanks everso for posting.xx
