  • clog? i thought this is tap!

  • that was awesome! no fancy tricks of modern clogging, or too fast of sounds you cant decipher one step from another. this is clogging!

  • I would cal the flat footing, a precursor to modern clogging.

  • Clogging was called this because the queen of England, when visiting America in the early 1900's said, why we do something similar in England with clogs and coined the term "clogging"...that's the story I heard. This is amazing, very well exectued! txs.

  • The unison was very impressive - esp since there was no music as a guide. Fun to watch!

  • Why do i start thinking of those dancing netherland puppets from Disney's Pinocchio? xDDD

  • That's really cool! I like how it's like tap dancing but with a little extra twist!

  • Loved this, how talented are those dancers !!!! I live in Wales and we have Welsh clogging, and across the water is Irish clog dancing and then American clogging. They are all different styles but fantastic to watch, thanks so much.

  • As North America is an amalgamation of cultures, I would think that clog dancing has evolved in the same way - it's wonderful anyway!

  • GREAT! =D

  • is that canadian step dancing?

  • I adore clogging!! =)

  • No, this is clog dancing, not tap dancing. It's just a type of clogging that's different from the one that you know about.

The word "clogging" comes from the fact that originally all of the dances referred to as "clog dances" were danced in clogs. It was only when these dances travelled to America that they evolved into new forms that were still called "clogging" but were not performed in clogs.

  • Both the dancing in the above video and the dancing of the Bayshore Cloggers have roots in original European clog dancing; they have evolved in different directions from the same source. They are both clog.

  • I truly loved this, butr then I'm Welsh and we don't see much of this style in Wales. Thanks or Diolch as they say here!

  • clogs are the shoes i wear in Holland. So no foul words on the clogs man

  • awesome I loved it 5555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555. more please against a blue screen, gee what I could do with this footage and a bue screen

  • Hey! This is at my school! Kewl! ^^

  • So what?

  • Great job!

  • I note several comments in the style, "I only know about one kind of clog dancing, and this isn't it." I'm sorry if the title led you to broaden your horizons uncomfortably. Like it or don't, I don't care; but why not learn what we can from other traditions?

  • Lord of the clogs?

    Whitout clogs?

    This sucks.

  • That was wonderful!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! I hope my class can someday be that good! :)

  • this is just Tap

  • wats up with the tap shoes, the sounds arnt clogging sounds!!!

  • no music???

  • that wos well good

  • what kind of shoes are those?

  • the american version of clogging is different i typed in clog dancing expecting to see aloud of welsh people in wooden clogs

  • Welsh?

  • people that come from a country called wales in britain

  • that is more like beginning tap dancing, "REAL" clogging is done in Hillbilly mountains shoes without cleats/taps on the bottom of the shoes. I can clog, and that just is not it at all.

  • Lets see your video- real clog dancer

  • There is no "real" clogging - there are many different types of clog dancing. And some of them are actually danced in clogs.

I find it funny that you say that "real" clogging is danced in mountain shoes. Where do you think the term "clogging" came from in the first place? Is clog dancing performed in clogs not real clogging either?

  • Am I wanting to cause trouble and problems? YOU'RE the one who just called me a dumb dirt pile. Clog dancing in general did not originate in the hills of WV, although a certain style of it evolved there. That's what I want to get across; it's not like I'm just trying to annoy people for the sake of it.

  • I LOVE CLOGGING!

  • Loved this video. Great dancers!

  • Very good!

  • wow, i think thats so cool! =P

  • way awesome!!!

  • magaera you are awesome! (this is casey)
