@SonsOfHateSphere i think the 707TW s fill with this guitar but i can't tell what its gonna sound like; it would be better if you chose Dimarzio 7 string pups in my opinion.

i recently got this guitar and i think it sounds basically unreal with the stock pickups but...which kind of pickups would y'all suggest?

for blues jazz and heavy aspects but not necessarily metal.although sometimes when im feelin glum i like to whip out combustion by meshuggah cuz meshuggah style riffs sound exactly like meshuggah on that bad boy.

@jtfles When I got 1627RB model, first thing I did was to switch the bridge pickup with Blaze Bridge and pots with DiMarzio 500K. If you think stock pickups are good, you will be amazed to hear Blaze.

When I see Ibanez Guitars, I see masterpieces. But not in the impression that other people would admire a painting or a sculpture. In fact, to me I don't even see a guitar but rather, a tool. I mean think about it. For example this RG1527. Every inch of this guitar serves a purpose. I don't need to ellaborate as the video speaks for itself. Theres nothing fancy about it, and it dosen't require itself to be fancy. Its designed to be a dreadnought and serves only the person that holds the pick.

Even my fucking $800 Les Paul Studio comes with USA made gibson pickups (burstbuckers,honestly some of the best pickups Ive ever heard),and Ibanez really isnt that great at making pickups in house,I'll admit the Infinitys are pretty good for their cheap guitars,but if its a japanese prestige,or even anything over $600-800,it needs EMGs or Dimarzios.

Not hating on EMG's, I have a couple of EMG equipped guitars, but if you put EMGs in a guitar like this, not only does it have to be routed out for the larger size, it also sounds exactly the same as a cheaper guitar with EMGs. Passives tend to let the character of the guitar shine more.

if you frequently use lower tunings, like B and C then definitely a 7string, it'll save you a lot of tuning.
