  • this is not a 60's song it came out in the eighties have cassette!!

  • IF YOU CAN CALL THEM SONG'S IT'S JUST ALOT OF TALKING BULLS%&/...ROCK AN ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!!!

  • IF ANYONE CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HE'S SAYIN GO BACK TO SCHOOL AN LEARN ENGLISH!!! AT LEAST HE AIN'T SAYING THE SAME THING OVER AN OVER AGAIN LIKE THEM RAP SON'G!!!

  • Pictures at Eleven sounds like a logical progression of the ITTOD sound. Plant's vocals still have that reverb that seems to bury his voice in the mix. Blunt's understated guitar work is excellent but far from scintillating. It's more restrained with simplified riffs and licks, slower solos compared to Page in his prime. His tone isn't very far away from ITTOD either. Synth remains omnipresent but doesn't dominate the album settling for simply adding texture.

  • Thank God for these lyrics Im 43 and never knew WTF he was sayin hes as bad as Eddie Vedder

  • i love phil collins

  • BOUT TIME I FIND OUT = who is the masked player on the table ?

    ANYONE ?

  • percy robert plant groupey in the early 60s

  • even plant could not resist the allure of the mystical mullet

  • Thanks for the lyrics! I think I understood about 50% until you wrote them down here. Good stuff. Talented band.

  • phil is so underrated as a drummer is beats are so presice

  • phil is the shit on the drums

  • Love Phil Collins on those drums!!

  • The hey day of MTV. Great stuff. Great memories and Great times!!!

  • one of the first Mtv videos I ever saw back in '82....haven't heard this song in decades....great stuff. Thanks.

  • Sadly a lot of the honies in the video are nearly ready for medicare, wonder if any are still doo-able?

  • So i had an older brother, that was so awesome! Introduced me in to playing guitar...Led Zeppelin, classic rock, girls...I thank him for that. This song was after Zep obviously, but with Plant and Blunt and the rest of the band, this is a cool song...and a nice snapshot of this time period. My brother passed away this August, but he has left such a mark on me...as has Plant, Page...and all this music.

  • Took the keys to my pool hall.

  • @coolclint88 LOL!!! ;) it kinda sounds like that!

  • @snakehunter1964 ha im glad someone else thinks so as well.

  • easily the best solo plant song ever recorded!

  • The guitarist's name on this album (Pictures at eleven) was Robbie Blunt

  • Does any know who played guitar on Plant's solo stuff?

  • @jwahh Robbie Blunt dude =)

  • @Sakuya727 Right on, thanks. Guy is damn good.

  • @jwahh I know right!! He's SOOOOOOOO awesome in the song "Big Log" !!

  • lmao his face @ 2:06!

  • Pictures At Eleven > Brilliant album

  • Dontchaknow I couldn't SO I

  • Robert Plant<3

  • One of my favorites from Robert Plant. Awesome sound -- esp. the bass in verse two, and the intro and interlude. Thanks!

  • @hellsbellspapa .. so much led zep .... but thats robert :)

  • @hellsbellspapa phil collins is plaiyin drums on this album

  • Phill Collins' drumming on this tune and this whole album is nothing short of impeccable ..but we all know he's not Bonham, my all time hero !

  • @blica1 Phil did a great job on the album (Cozy Powell did two tracks when Phil had to leave to prepare for the Genesis 1982 tour and his own Hello I Must Be Going album). Robert has nothing to say but good things about Phil who was partially responsible for Plant's band playing to their best capabilities on the album.

  • @tjrrockandrollmaster i forgot that Phil played on this!!

  • mm mm dat Robert!

  • PAGE wrote this song for the next Zeppelin album........

  • i knew him when...Led Zepplin..so uhhh..yeea!

  • I need to borrow him....dont wait cuz this is gunna take a while (wink)

  • get your finger out of your ass robert plant is one of the vocalist on this shitty planet.

  • One of his best post Zep songs, would fit right in with their catalog.

  • Inaudible lyrics, makes people want to listen to the song more.

  • This is Robert's best, and most rocking, post-Zep song.

  • There's something about the look he gives that girl at 2:22. I would just melt if he looked at me like that. He could stay. ;)

  • That look when he opens the closet at 2:07 cracks me up. So many beautiful women in this video.

  • I always thought the first few words the song were "Screwin by the back door"

  • Linda Lusardi @ 3:13, Looking as stunning as ever.

  • @1305alz holy shit! i've been in love with that woman since i saw this video 30 yrs. ago! by pure chance, i saw a small thumbnail story (about perfect breasts, of all things) in playboy this month featuring her picture (it had her name! finally!) i google searched her images and low and behold... there she was!!! great to have a name to the face i fell in love with so long ago... she would have been HUGE in the united states, she's absolutely stunning! thanks for confirming!!!

  • @thestevelinton No problem steve, she was and still is the best page three girl of all time, glad to help.

  • @thestevelinton She's in the back of the car 1:30 looking fine as usual.

  • @1305alz her eyes @ 1:45 are incredible. it's like she is looking into my soul... ;) most gorgeous eyes i've ever seen... the rest of her ain't too shabby either!

  • WTF @ 1;00???

  • i love it when the invisabul man comes out and plays the guitar :D

  • I dont know what he's saying, but man it sounds Good.

  • @kamicheeum LOl's the opening line is, slipped thru the window by the back door! caught short in transit with my love!! jumped up fell back enough of romance how could i fall without a shove! yes it sounds awesome!!!! P.

  • Imagine how lucky you would have been to be in that traffic and watch Robert take his shirt off in front of you!

  • Robbie Blunt played guitar on the first 2 albums.

  • Collins only played on the first solo album I believe

  • Phil Collins plays drums on Robert's first 2 albums. Phil rules.

  • this video is so messed. But... ugh, Robert, y u and ur voice so sexy? He's truly amazing.

  • Can' t understand a word he said but it all sounded better than any of the crappy bands today.

  • @kenmtb ha!!! ;) that's the thing about Plant! i'm 46 and have been listening to Zeppelin all my life and STILL can't understand half of what he's singing! must be his Welsh accent...i don't know. songs like In The Evening and Trampled Under Foot just baffle me! ha!!

  • Did Nash the slash play guitar on this?

  • Back when he was going by the moniker "Bobby Plant".

  • Invisible man without the gloves loves to ruin your dinner with a hot chick! Excellent guitar solo will follow!

  • I wish I had something like that at 2:06 there when I opened my closet door! :-)

  • Phil Collins on drums and Robbie Blunt on guitar....FTW!!!!!

  • Way sick groove.

  • OMG 3:53

  • @2:06 when plant turns around he looks as he did when zeppelin formed xD

  • Too bad he's a British slave, too much swordplay and not enough poloitics I guess...

  • 0:44 that shot where he looks at the camera, yikes - barely looks like himself, he's drowning in the 80's here. I was glad when the 80's ended.

  • A Ford Cortina was never cooler!!!

  • plant looks jus tlike chirs poland former guitarist of megadeth \\m//

  • Great stuff. I'll take this over that over hyped flavor of the month Allison Krauss

  • @davec0021 I don't think it's Nash. He doesn't play guitar, so why make believe in a music video? Besides, this guy looks somewhat taller and more slim than Nash. That's just guesswork, though.

  • Awesome!

  • In The Evening...Part II

  • the very end of that was sexy

  • I love this damn song!!!!

  • @moonchild678 ---- MY FAV TO! AND YES....THE CONEY HATCH IS ON Y.T. TO!!! Look for monkey bars, stand up,devil`s deck.....rock on!

  • Pictures At Eleven!!! The very best solo ZEP album!

  • Oh, Robert <3

  • Plant sos hermossoooooooooo! ♥

  • With Zeppelin or by himself, it doesn't get much better than Mr. Plant.

  • I agree that zeppelin would have sounded very close to this in 1981.but i think that they would have gone on to other projects until the early 90's

  • @kleintoolking then what ?? join STP

  • Gawd @ 1:35. I would have a permanent smile on my face if Robert was my chauffeur.

  • I saw him in 1983 Austin, Tx Phil Collins was on drums.

  • Amazing Album and amazing SHOW!!!

  • Phil Collins on Drums....If you listen you can tell it's him too.

  • Hot women. Cool Singer. And the Invisible Man playing guitar leads on the dinner table. What more could you ask for?

  • @RubHerSoul1 That invisible man is Nash The Slash!...(who?)

  • Comment removed

  • Loved this one when it came out--- and I still have the LP!

  • still a great song no matter when

  • Saw a bit of this on the documentary the other week. Glad I was able to hunt it down. He didn't poke them all. I did it for him.

  • PFT!!! WHATEVER!!! MY FAVORITE PLANT SONG, BY FAR... THE PART FROM 0:00 TO 4:11 IS PROBABLY THE SICKEST PART.-THANKS MONSIEUR PLANT AND EVILCONDUCT FOR POSTING....

  • PERFECTION!!!!

  • my knees are week my head is reelin

  • The oldest comment is a year old. It took a long time for this video to be posted. I looked for it before...and it great that it is posted. Thanks.

  • Robert Plant what would we do without you

  • i picture his solo career as if after Zeppelins In Through The Out Door was realeased, Zep would just keep going afterwards and not have come to an end. they were heading to this direction with that album it seemed, and Plant took a hold of it. its different but it sounds very cool and modern :)

  • Bet he poked all of them< LUCKY GIT!!!!

  • This video is nothing but fucking nonsense... I wish videos were still like this.

  • Occult star info at jagball22 -- Thank you

  • Plant is one of the greatest singers ever!

  • Weird video haha! I love Robert Plant though.

  • @serpikris, Agreed, 100%...

Zeppelin changed the face of modern music in ways few bands ever have. Their disbanding left a ragged hole in the heart of Rock & Roll that has never been truly filled. Had they remained, music would not be the same today.

  • I agree totally serpikris The 80's would have been so cool if John Bohnam wouldn't have died or Bon Scott of AC/DC wouldn't have died & if John Lennon wouldn't have been murdered! That decade was cool but Just Think...

  • SENSATIONAL

  • THE GREATEST SINGER OF ALL TIMES

    THE GREATEST VOICE EVER

THE GREATEST R'NR BAND OF THE WORLD......LED ZEPPELIN UBER ALLES

  • Is that Nash The Slash doing the guitar solo at 2:30?

  • (Feather)... yay masked robbie blunt!... & multitudes o' babes!!!....

  • Like the disgusted look @1:31,and the giggle @1:46

  • wait a minute u mean they used to play videos on mtv? wow when was this?

  • wait a minute u mean they used to play videos on mtv? wow when was this?

  • @enots67 It was long, long ago in a time forgotten in the swirling mists.

  • burning down one side like a canoeing doobie

  • @ruds1616 ...I haven't heard that phrase for years! LOL!

  • Wow, it just seems like yesterday that I would come home from Junior High school and this would be on a brand new station called MTV!

  • one of his best songs ever!

  • robert plant is jean Claude van Damme's stunt double

  • I like the way he just walked away and said screw it at the end.......I can relate.

  • Great song by the greatest ever!!

  • @Louisvillebilly , LED ZEPPELIN is the greatest ever!

  • Phil Collins and Cozy Powell (RIP) played drums on this on this album! always my favorite, then the principle of moments, another gem.

  • Back in the days where girls had big hair and the guitar riffs had passion and imagination. Love it.

  • after all these years... still sensational.

  • i met him on south street in philadelphia.i was with my friend keith,he was with his wife and 2 regular lookin dudes.i was bout 17,walked up to him held my hand out and said,"hi,how you doing" he shook my hand and said,"good, how bout you" i said good, turned and walked away.didn't feel awkward, didn't make me feel less than him,he seemed genuine and friendly.a true gentleman!

  • @drummermizike

    yeah that's how he is.

  • @drummermizike

I met him on the outdoor mall in Boulder, CO about 17 years ago.

By 'met' I mean that I was with my excellent but obnoxious guitarist friend from Detroit who yelled, "Bob! Hey BOB...". Apparently, he doesn't like to be called 'Bob'.

At first we thought, "Who does this asshole think he is (long, curly, blonde hair) Robert Plant?".

He turned around - and it WAS Robert Plant!

    Ooops...

  • First album after Zepplin. He had a great solo careeer.

  • Note to trivia buffs: That's music video director Nigel Dick playing guitar under those mummy bandages. He was producer on the clip, and covering for a guitar player who didn't show up.

  • I truly enjoy the subtle looks the ladies are giving ol' Bob during the video. They know they are in the Presence of a Master!

  • Arh this must have been poor Robert's mid life crisis stage? No?

  • @SavannahR8 LOL

  • Phil Collins groove at his best!

  • they should take the dislike button of this one...

  • Awesome great stuff!

  • Plants the man!

    Jman

  • looks like a human league video.this just ain't doin' it for me.the music is good, robert's voice sucks it here.

  • Robert Plant is sensational.

  • THIS sounded the most like Led Zep, from all his solo work, which I also loved.

  • My all time favorite solo song from Robert!

  • @solarboy64 yes, they r samples from a few songs, but the solo on tall cool one and heaven knows are his guitar solos. look on the cd sleeve, the credits are there.

  • this is unfortunate.

  • no, the guitarist is robbie blunt, all guitars on plant's first three records are robbie blunt. sometimes phil collins on drums. page plays on honeydrippers with jeff beck on same record, and now and zen has heaven knows and tall cool one is page.

  • @animalmother16 actually, tall cool one were just jimmy "samples"...

  • always loved this tune....but the lyrics are barely fuckn'n audible

  • Most of Today's music are that way. Can't hum this shit at all.

  • awesome song I love the zep feel

  • I like plant, but this album sounded to much like led zep.

Glad he broke away from this sound in his later albums.

  • i,m a fan of plant that,s why in my page i call r plant as my fav singer

  • hehe i was just sittin there like ya gonna take your pants off to rob? xD

  • Anyone have Far Post off the pictures at 11 albumn?

  • o_O

I never knew there was a video for this song! The invisible man guitarist is priceless :D

Never had a clue about the lyrics either. Finally the mystery is solved. ^^

  • maybe just a rumour, but I'd heard Page played guitar, or the solos at least, on some of Plant's more popular / singles solo songs.

not that there is any chance that is Pagey under the mask here!

  • I know he played the solo on two songs from Now and Zen, Heaven Knows and Tall Cool One.

  • the guitarist is jeff beck.....just thought you might want to know

  • @janicenlyle One of the best!

  • Awesome song!!! Travel us back in great music times.. and not only...

  • mr Plant carries us to the summit!

  • I think this is from his first solo LP "Pictures At 11"..1982. This definitely sounds like where Zep might've picked up had they not broken up. Kinda has an "In Thru The Out Door" vibe.

  • @rowdymax1 Yes that's totally right.. Pictures at eleven is very similar to some songs on CODA as well, such as Ozone baby and Darlene!

  • Lucky Robert with those gorgeous chicks and even a MK V Cortina!!!

He can keep the motorway stiptease though.

  • i've never understood a word of the lyrics - thanks for posting them I've always loved this tune - he's always been an amazing lyric writer...

  • this song kicks!!!

  • I am a big Zeppelin fan, I was in 11th grade when this came out. This is my favorite solo project of his by far. He is amazing.

  • He rules forever.
