  • It is my understanding according to the Freemasons that I personally know believe in God and some in Jesus as God. I am saying all Masons are not Illumaniti.

  • Ron Paul 2012!! good luck america :)

  • @GLICKTON you're kidding, right?

  • Not all freemasons are Illuminatist. Gorge Washington warned America in a letter about this new sect calling themselves the Illumaniti. "It is impossible to rule a country and the world, without God and the bible." President Gorge Washington

  • @theskyisfalling321 No... Illuminati believed in a God, a supreme Architect, and also acknowledge that what Jesus taught is very good, but they just don't believe Jesus is a God, they just believe he was a great philosopher.

Don't be subjective, look at it objectively.

You're right, not all Freemasons were Illuminati, but all Illuminati were Freemasons. Illuminati was an off shoot of the Enlightenment and was a secret organization within another secret organization.

  • British names, British civil war.

  • America isn't that free I know that because I got put in a hospital ya so I hope everybody in America goes to hell and god may not fuck America to

  • great vid

  • funny how the parts about all people being equal was read by blacks????lol

  • this one is funny, but no serious

  • I love America, I'm sure if the founding fathers were alive again, they would stop the big government -_- and the patriot act?

  • America Land that I love <3

  • Obama and all other government should read the Declaration of Independence again and think before there changing it or we the people by the people will rise up again and fight for what is right.

  • AMERICA stay great & strong !

  • The music comes from Saving private Ryan

  • Freedom my brothers and sisters... FREEDOM!!!!

  • time for another revolution perhaps

  • @classicallyliberal IMHO....long past due!

  • One of the major problems with our country today is that very few have any pride or patriotism ,listen to this, read the Declaration of Independence see what a great country we have. Be proud of your ,our history. We live in the most free country in the world, don't take that freedom for granted. Long live life liberty and the pursuit of happiness....and The United States of America.

  • @blueflame53 Sorry, America has not been that great since FDR and the creation of big government.

  • @DMBHawk Sadly enough I really can't argue with you man,very sad.

  • Death to the Illuminati!

  • @theskyisfalling321 Uhmm.... don't you know that the Founding Fathers were ALL Deists, they don't believe in Christianity, and they were all Freemasons and from the Illuminati... but before you get the wrong idea, listen first.

The Illuminati were the greatest Philosophers and Physicists who were forced to go secret because the Roman Catholic Church were hunting them and killing them.

They were champions of Freedom. They were against too much Government and against Religious mind control.

  • @LPmotionpictures you don't know your history at all. Over half of all of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were Christian Ministers of all Faiths (Methodist, Anglican, Presbyterian, etc.) And even the most non-religious ones (Franklin, Jefferson) were, by today's standards, more religious than some religious people today.

  • @jilajig2 Hahahaha you are blinded. None of them were Christians. It's you who don't know your history. They were all Deists, Infidels, and a few Unitarians. Yes they believed in a Creator, but they don't believe in any religion. In fact, they kept talking against Christianity, especially Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine.

Check out Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers here on Youtube.

  • of the 56 persons who signed the Declaration of Independence document in 1778, 15 of them or 27 percent were Masons. Among them were Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Joseph Hewes, William Hooper, Robert Treat Payne, Richard Stockton, George Walton and William Whipple. Others were Elbridge Gerry, Lyman Hall, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Nelson Jr. John Renn, George Read and Roger Sherman.

  • I think James Earl Jones should read aloud to us the Declaration of Independence!

  • I HAVE AN OFFICIAL COPY OF THIS! GO TO archives.gov. IT HAS THIS AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS, THE CONSTITUTION, AND MORE! GO THERE NOW! THE COPY IS NOT ILLEGAL.

  • no taxation without representation

  • Sir Thomas Pope Knight

  • 50% of the people who voted who were part of the declaration of independence where Welsh or of Welsh descent. 5 of USA presidents were Welsh descent including Thomas Jefferson who actuualy could speak the Welsh language. Yet most Americans have never heard of Wales just think it as a city in England....

  • No truer words in the histroy of our country.....This county has forgotin what it stands for

  • Thank you America for kicking king georges ass the insane clown made life a misery for the uk you lot defeating help make him stfu an give are democratic parlement more power

  • You know, I never really put much thought into this when I was in school. It just seemed like another thing we had to learn about and sit through. Now that I'm older I realize the gravity and depth that this document carries. In writing this, barely fledgling colonies literally stood against the largest and most powerful force in the world risking everything they had to lose, their very lives, and said enough. It was the literary equivalent of sticking both middle fingers in a tyrant's face....

  • this document is nothing special. large parts of it are actually cut and paste from Locke's 2nd tratise on government. its just the interest of the rich and the WASP bla bla bla.

  • @Lopodecastro go 2 hell!

  • @AmazingItalianGirl

calling people names does not make what I said wrong. In fact what you say goes perfectly in line with blind nationalism. The declaration of independence is a beautifully written document. but it was and still is nothing new.

  • my brothers my sisters this is our guid lines our rules but our goverment is not keeping up with them i know im not the presdent but i will brang this goverment back up or so help me i will do like our for fathers ...i will fight for it if we loose i will put this goverment to it's knee's i love this country but not like it is to day please join me i will make a website soon so we can talk i will post it win its done

  • This video doe enormous justice to the American dream. It is a revolution for all people. An ideal that must be preserved. Must be protected at all times. Times such as this when the Federal Reserve and money hungery politicians threaten our long standing dream. It's time not for change, but time to declare the foundations on which this country stands. Thabkyou for this inspiring video!

  • ALL man are created equally

  • Whats fucked up is once you have served one term in office(senate&Congress) they receive pay for life and free medical for life paid for by US. 2009 starting pay was $174,000 in June 2003, at least 40 of the then-senators were millionaires!! OFF OUR MONEY. We vote them into office on their word they will be our elected voices and the first chance they get they SELL US OUT!.

  • I, A— B—, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

  • Thomas jefferson looked to the ancient greek philosopher aristotle for inspiration in order to write the DOI. so not to brag, the greeks helped develop many nations around the world. so, on behalf of my people, your welcome america.

  • If I might say, if we look at the Constitution, I think it was a good willed and honest push by SOME of our founding fathers to keep this country together and found a country of freedom, without the bounds of some KING or otherwise "elected" leader. I believe that the Articles of Confederation were a far better safeguard against the tyranny presented by some Federal gov't that does what it wants without our consent, as we have today. The Declaration, a great document...let us follow that.

  • all HUMAN created equally !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Great GREAT american sprit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its always gain my respect

  • does anybody know where the clip of jefferson writing it is from?

  • спасибо

  • READ THIS. IT'S A STATEMENT BASED ON FACT. THEY HOLD THE TRUTHS, THEY SAY SELF EVIDENT, PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. "GOD BLESS AMERICA",,, IT WOULD BE IF WE PURSUED TO BE HOLY INSTEAD OF HAPPY. JOY COMES AFTER BEING HOLY IF YOU LISTEN TO JESUS, THE SON OF THE ONE LIVING GOD. THE JOY AWAY FROM THE LORD IS DEPRAVITY. THIS COUNTRY HAS TAKEN THE NAME OF GOD AND USED IT FOR ITS PURPOSE TO CONTROL THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

  • What disturbs me is how people these days keep railing against "Egghead elitists" or "Harvard establishment" in government. If they'd read the Declaration, they'd know that's exactly what the Founders were - the best educated minds of their time trying to work out a philosophically sound argument for change.

You want to go back to the Founders' ideals? I say read, get educated, and stay informed!

  • Wish this was better quality.

  • I see that this video was created around the time George Bush was in office, then I notice the last few seconds of this video and the word Chage flashes before my eyes. Was an obama sheep speaking out against the government?

  • all that i can say is bravo sir.

  • Its really life liberty and property by john locke Jefferson did not want to give every citizen property

  • fuck

  • God bless America & all that love, serve & defend her with truth & honor!

  • The people will remain powerless until corporations and their total control are stripped away >>>

"I hope that we shall crush, in its infancy, the aristocracy of the monied corporations". Thomas Jefferson

  • Read Atlas Shrugged.

  • I only have one word to say about how our government needs to be now "transparent"

  • Our government was not set up to simply act on the will of the majority. Minority rights have to be respected too.

  • rights are the same for all people, majority or minority.

all rights are respected even when acting based on the view of the majority.

  • Tell that to the people of the south that were disenfranchised in the segregated south, the women denied the right to vote, gays denied the right to marry or foreigners held in Gitmo and denied formal charging or trials. Rights are determined by a group of people and they can be wrong. A slave is a human, even if the law says he is not.

  • @omegatopva "FOREIGNERS held in Gitmo? OMG!

Let's set the record straight. TERRORISTS were/are held at Gitmo as WAR CRIMINALS!

Terrorists & War Criminals do not have U.S. "citizen rights"!

Geneva Convention Agreement is all they have & the war isn't over yet!

  • @Serafinos We never declared war against anyone. If we did, please show me the Congressional declaration of war as mandated by the Constitution. If they are war criminals, why have the only convictions come in federal courts (Richard Reid/ shoe bomber) and not military tribunals(shot down by the Supreme Court)? Just because the government calls you something(terrorists) doesn't make it true. If they're guilty, they government had almost 8 years to convict them. Follow the law and not your heart.

  • @omegatopva They were on the battle field -- not in the USA!

Your liberal argument has gotten tired.

Try something fresh. Obama had to change his own policy -- because he found -- BUSH WAS RIGHT!

    BYEEEEeeeeeee!

  • @Serafinos The courts don't follow silly arguments. Try reading the laws of the land and stop calling people liberals because they believe in adhering to those laws. Where are the military tribunal convictions, if Bush was right? Why did the Bush lawyers try and convict the shoe bomber in a federal court, if the tribunals are legal? Ignoring the facts doesn't make you right.

  • Amen

  • God Bless America.

  • long live the U.S.! long live our founding fathers and mothers! long live the revolution! long live the delaration of independence!

  • Amen

  • @GoMidoriIsCool America will collapse soon.

  • @GoMidoriIsCool Due to lack of jobs and bad economy.

  • @PlanetXObserver we'll see it though

  • @PlanetXObserver "America will collapse soon"

It'll take a LOT more than a bunch of corrupted politicians to bring down the greatest country the world has ever seen. Mark my words...

  • @GoMidoriIsCool Yes sir, Amen

  • @LaidBackTiger im actlley a girl, but thank u!

  • @GoMidoriIsCool all men are created equal not born, pursuit of happines, not property "certain" unalienable rights george washington, james madison only did this for money, interest, who fought the war? the poor did man, who is fighting the war in iraq? the poor are for THEIR interest, history repeats itself.

  • re-vendication of rights

  • Go People in the declaration of independence!!!! U Rock!!! Good Job PEEPS!!!! I Love this independence.... thing!!! right on! :)

  • If patriotism ever meant simply obedient to the State not the cause of liberty then the patriots in the American Revolution were the loyalist not the men and women we today call patriots. Governments are formed among men for the exclusive propose of the protection of the rights and liberty of those men from others. Including but not limited to other oppressive governments themselves.

  • America was founded from Rebellion. That we have the absolute RIGHT to protest our government when that government goes against the people and the Constitution. We were never intended to be a "Democracy" but a "Constitutional Republic". for the people, of the people, by the people that It is our DUTY!

  • trusting their leaders, now we see how irresponsible that was. REVOLTUION AGAIN! ~ It is our DUTY!

  • Whatever the plan, I am with you. May God Bless this Great and Free Republic!

  • @odom2008dotcom Amen and Amen

  • This video is beautiful and the ending the best of all, that many still fighting the cause of Plantation slave holders today fail to remember, WE ARE ALL AMERICANS and our NATION is more important that subdivisions thereof - as our Fathers fought for and believed. The United States of America, is one nation and one people, we are not a collection of states. The Articles of Confederation put into place a perpetual Union, indissovable and the blood of Patriots in the CW confirmed it - we are one.

  • I hate to break it to you but as the founders insisted in the American Revolution, the right to secession is inalienable and no union can be held as unconditional. The British tried to say that about the colonies thats why we had to fight a war over the issue. The logical fact is if you cant secede then you will be made a slave to that which you are bonded to, as it breaks its contract and steps on your rights. Secession is and must be regarded as an inalienable right or freedom cannot.

  • All the Civil war did was prove that which we already knew, 23 states can wage war on and enslave 11. It did not make their choice morally or legally right. Indeed the fact that Lincoln had to shut down news papers to suppress free speech that might possible make a revile the undeniable fact that the South had every right to secede, and that what Lincoln was doing was no different then what King George had done to the colonies.

They even used the same excuse, calming only a minority wanted it.

  • The South had no right to succeed and the blood of hundreds of thousands were shed due to their leaders treason. The Constitution grants the power of the NATIONS government to suspend habeus corpus and deal with rebellion. The Congress was then and is now, and freely elected body - the South had not recourse, their particular insitution SLAVERY was not threatened and there were compromises offered etc. Yes, if Government becomes a tyranny, then the PEOPLE have a right to revolt; CW not the case

  • If you had read the Constitution you would know it grants no such power, in fact they discussed the possibility of granting it the power of a national government in the Constitutional convention of 1787 and it was flatly rejected.

If might makes right, then law is meaningless. As Civil Law is based upon the supposition that might doesnt make right. Our Civil Law is based upon the printable of rights being derived from the consent of the Governed for the protection of other rights retained.

  • The colonies were not represented in Parliament, were being denied representation; thus the revolt - plus America had a seperate indentity, we had Germans, Irish, English, Natives, Africans here and were a distinct people - WE WERE AMERICANS - a seperate PEOPLE and thus did not revolt, but DECLARED OUR RIGHTFUL INDEPENDENCE! The south was part of the nation, under the Constitution with all the perogatives and rights stil intact - they violated the Constitution stemming from Articles.

  • With so many organizations and unions like ACORN , lobbyists in the Cabinet,..will there be any more politicians who will come clean or have the BACKBONE to rise up? Or Federalism is dead and all the STATES are subject and under the Federal Government?

  • That means on a State level, State legislators should hold another constitutional convention to change this dictatorial Presidency? Why do these appointed Czars allowed to work without FBI background checks and Senate approval??

  • 2:26 it Starts

  • I agree LSS2, and many of their ideas were from the much earlier Magna Carta.

Sadly, the Dec of Ind is just as outdated as the Magna Carta too.

  • But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. —

    Deceleration of Independence

  • No offense, but I feel you have missed the point entirely. It is a document that was Supposed to bind politicians to a limited set of powers.....how has that worked out ? You are correct that if one party holds the House, Senate, and executive that this trumps the idea of checks and balances. This party however, will abide by The Constitution no matter how many candidates we seat.

I would also say that I do vote according to a candidate's Constitutional Adherence

  • The American Constitutional Conservative Party won't let you down. We will work for you and for the Constituion

  • The Federal government is growing it's tentacles and interfering in State affairs. But I think only Texas can secede..otherwise there will be a war. There was actually no Civil War in America..since the South never really want to take over the government but seceded..Civil war is a war to take over power in government,..the Southern States merely seceded. Many people are still mesmerized by the Fuhrer and I am afraid our liberty and freedom of life , liberty and pursuit of happiness is gone.

  • There was also no civil war because the warring parties States had no common citizenship before the war.

It was Virginians, Texans, Tennesseans, Georgians, South Carolinas and so on against New Yorkers, Ohioans, Vermonters ect.. Civil war requires 2 competing governments fighting control over the same state among people of common citizenship. That simply did not exist prior to the 14th Amendment which was passed AFTER the war was over. Tecnicaly it was a War bettween 2 collations of States.

  • Interesting, yet flawed as the southern states did in fact confederate as a single "force".

  • The North was still federated too, that still did not give them a common citizenship, even if it did it would simply constitute a war between 2 States instead of 23(union) v.s. 11 (confederacy). Your argument for a flaw is self-defeating.

  • I think any State can secede, as all states are equals. Whether or not there is war to re-take them, is a question of our values and commitment to the concept of freedom, as apposed to empire.

I could not accept the federal government wagering war on any State for the sake of mantaining power over that state, and it's people. In my estimation the right of secession must be regard as it was in the Declaration as an inalienable(not denyable) right.

  • State can NOT secede, nor on their own dissolve Federal law - they formed a perpetual Union by the formation of a Nation under the Articles, then based upon this Law of the Land, improving upon it by forming the Constitution - which is still the Law of the Land. We are one People, one Nation, as the ending of this states and as our Fathers declared in the Declaration, and as Washington stated so often. Lincoln understood this as did FDR - FDR was in the proud tradition of Progress, Americas way.

  • Wasnt going to respond to this due to its apparent disconnect from reality, but I think you deserve a fair chance. North Read the Constitution, read the federalist papers, read about the American Revolution, the founders were very concerned about centralized unchecked power, thats why they created a Constitution to define strict and unmovable limits to that power.

Thats why they created checks and balances to insure that no man or group became too powerfull. We broke that over the last 200

  • Disconnect...Really? I've read thoroughly the writings of Jefferson, Madison, Washington, Hamilton, Chief Justice Marshall etc- there is no Right to secession the nation formed perpetually by the Articles, the Constitution approved under this Law, an improvement thereof - and being an improvement it would be illogical and unprecedented for the nation to create a means to dissolution -because some states dont accept free elections and the workings of the Constitution they agreed to obey.

  • The articles of confederation were not only replace, their meaning in terms of perpetual union is like perpetual friendship. Not a forced unconditional union, as the founders mandated no such union could be formed within the power of man.

No one can give up their rights unconditionally and permanently as it is akin to selling yourself and all your posterity into slavery.

  • Take your argument to its natural conclusion...if a state can secceed from the Nation, then a County from the State, and a City from a County, and a Neighborhood from a City, and if a disguntrled neighbor dislikes the neighborhood of his, from his neighborhood...thats your argument and it is not legally sound nor historically sound. The Constitutional convention debated much and a national government, where powers were divided, was set up in part, to form a more Perfect Union...

  • Generally speaking yes, that right exist, thou there is a lot more involved in secession then your indicating, making such a move an extremely serous one, particularly with in the bounds of a State or city. You dont do it unless youre certain you can not only do the job yourself on your own but are able to cover and justify the enormous cost, with what you gain. Thats why you dont do it for light or transient (coming and going) causes, because it would be a gigantic waist of money.

  • At least we know where you stand, not with Reason n law, and the Precendents of American jurisprudence - because no such right exists - what you speak of is anarchy, and anarchy (including Shays rebellion after the revolution, and the Whisky Revolt after) was exactly what the Fathers feared, that and mob rule - thus created a more powerful central government, with police, commercial powers; rule of law not men (anarchy as you propose); you should remember the pledge: one nation, indivisible.

  • ...That more perfect Union, was a Federation, instead of a Confederation, where more power lies with the Federal government than under the former, including the power to Promote the General Welfare of the nation and its people...As a Perfection, it would be illogical for our Founders to make the Union weaker by allowing the States, once they agreed, to dissolve the Union on petty differences; and as they were specific as to States perogitives, they did not include the right to succession therein

  • You never read the Constitution nor the Volumes written by our founders. The whole point of the document was enumerating what the Federal government could do reserving everything else to the States and/or their people. You dont need to enumerate what the States and People can do. They are the granters of sovereign authority ceded by the said Constitution as specifically spelled out in the same Constitution.

  • LOL...so I never read my Constitution, nor Hamilton, Jay, Madison's Federalist Papers, nor studied Jefferson, Washington, and other Founders...Boy oh boy, where'd all that money go for several years...You really need to study American history and Constiutional law; you do not understand the Constitution's elasticity, as explained by Hamilton and put into effect by Marshall's court so long ago.

  • ...It therefore can be reasonably ascertained from their letters, the Federalist papers, and other writings; and from the perpetuity established in the Articles...that because of no inclusion of a specific perogitive to succeed and that the Constitution was a perfection, the perpetuity continued and was not to be violated because one state or a group decided they didn't like the results of a national or federal election. We became a nation on the battlefields of America and Europe, by the way.

  • Letters you apparently never read as is evident by your ignorance of them and their continents.

  • LOL...well then. I pledge allegience to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, One Nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE, with Liberty and Justice for all.... This I affirm as I did when a boy; together with All Men are Created Equal entitled by their creator to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - and in Government of by for the People, that has a duty to Promote the General Welfare (economy, prosperity) of the Nation..E Pluribus Unum - ONE! Smile.

  • ,,,,and to those principles and that nation, my nation....I pledge as our Fathers, and all who have fallen for the Stars and Stripes, from Concord Bridge to Normandy and onward...my Life, my Fortune, and my Sacred Honor...for the preservation of that Nation of my fathers and the last best Hope of man...Thank God, the Union prevailed, and as Washington saw in a Vision at Valley Forge, shall Prevail to the end of time. I am American by birth, and only a New Yorker by happenchance..God bless.

  • So who among the people can dissolve the government if the government become oppressive or tyrannical?

  • That depends on what government, if its the federal government, then it's the State governments that can do so by calling a convention or simply seceding. If it's the State government that is oppressive then it depends upon your State Constitution but ultimately, its still the people, either thou the local governments or directly. This is because constitutionally speaking we are a union of 50 separate States not 300 million people.

  • If its both or all then it starts level by level from the ground up. Once we secure the States we can call a Convention to dramatically reduce the power and extent of the federal government back to what it was in 1800 by repealing 14th, 16th, and 17th Amendments and passing one clearly defining the commerce clause as only the trade at the time of crossing State borders, and the necessary and proper clause as only using powers granted specifically to the federal government by the Constitution.

  • If the US President dictates the US Congress and US Senate where they have majority, can the State Legislatures opposed any enactment by US COngress /Senate...after all, the States also have representatives in US Senate and COngress? If the laws passed were curtailing our liberties or freedoms?

  • Comment removed

  • The U.S. Senate uses to serve that function as the representative of the States, as its members were elected directly by the State legislator of each State. This was altered with the 17th amendment in 1913 more then 120 years later. This change is widely regarded as the final death nail of American Federalism.

  • That change made it possible for a popular President to fool the people into giving him unchallengeable power, such as F.D.R. did just 24 years later enabling him to blackmail the Supreme Court using court packing into greatly expanding his Federal power, to the detriment of the rights of the States and the Federal Constitutional System. (The court would not apposes a signal federal act for the next 50+ years)

  • Yes only if they stand Strong, Speak and ACT without Fear... The need to push the 10th amendment to the limits of what it was intended for..

  • I enjoyed listening to the various retired athletes reciting the Declaration of Independence. I did not enjoy the message at the end from the anti-American racist, Ron Paul.

  • I am a patriot first, an a loyalist to any government last. To be an American is to hold your allegiances first and foremost to the Liberty and the Constitutional law which protects that liberty, not to any government which simply clams any power over the people of its own defining as legitimate under such a constitution. A patriot is the one with the balls to draw the line and stand up to any government threatening their rights. There is nothing racist about that which has no race, liberty.

  • Protect your rights - stay informed!

    - The Midnight Owl - dot - com -

  • A vanishing Constitutional Republic...you mean... as this Independence Day like to last 100 in the past century are celebrated without thought to the words that forged our statement of freedom. The 4th of July is a date. Independence Day is a moment in time who's meaning is lost in this time somewhere between the beer and burgers. Be BOLD...Stand and read these words at YOUR event!

  • a great democracy

  • Blood is dripping from my fingers writing letters.

My throat is sore from screaming.

My head is pounding from the stress. I can' t fit another US flag on my lawn.

Enough! Call me I will be there. Till then I am up to here with all of these so called "patriots" that are too lazy to do anything. Shame on all of you.

Ready for hell. Time to take back my country.

  • Relax friend, you should work smarter not harder!

We the individual people are too small and few to control a government so large and vast as the Federal Government of the United States thou elections which only divide and conquer us across the vast number of unconstitutional issues which the same government has usurp from ourselves and our states.

Dont try to control that self-corrupting instrument, instead uses its natural comparator our direct creation/agent the State government.

  • Remember only in competition is liberty found and maintained, it is for that reason we must reestablish that competition which our founders envisioned our States serving with regard to the federal government, to restore and maintain our liberty.

Even a corrupted State Government has the self-interest to enhance its own power the same as the federal government, to that end it can be used as our tool to weaken the federal government by taking its power from it.

  • you are an idiot. case closed.

  • Because our current government is being destructive and taking away our freedoms, just how much right do we have to abolish the current government? It needs to be overhauled for sure and all the career politicians kicked out! Then we go back to the Constitition with term limits and stipends for service.

I think Americans need to start calling legal counsels (that are not owned by Obama), to research that so we the people can get the ball rolling or for sure we will end up like Rome!

  • Has this nation become so complacent that We are gonna have to do this all over again? and we have no one to blame but ourselves because we let it happen!

  • There is NO WAY, that this could be re written or achieved in these days of uncertainty. We could have minutemen, but they have taken most of our guns...guns are for police and gang bangers...not the folks! We gave power to the have nots....now they are taking the first shots!!

  • i would most honorably and gladly die trying to attain what our founding forefathers accomplished 233 years.

  • This is beautiful.

And the sentiments are, today, forgotten.

  • "Today we need a nation of minute men; citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of American, cannot succeed with any lesser effort."

    -- President John F. Kennedy, January 29, 1961

  • Real Americans do not under-mind America.

  • These are the times that try men's souls.

This short motto has echoed for centuries. It gave strength to American patriots in 1776 as it propelled them to liberty. This motto is alive and just as appropriate today as it was at the beginning of the Revolution.

    thomaspainereturns. net

  • it seems as if all that was accomplished by the patriots of old is being undone by the present system.

    Are they Americans?

  • Little if anything has stood the test of time. What was accomplished by those who founded Rome as a republic was later undermined by ambitious men who dreamed of empires, an empire which were in need of constant maintainence of wars and extreme amounts of money. Political decisions trampled all over the constitution, foreign cultures and customs were introduced in society. All taxed on the expense of it's citizens. Perhaps only quotes&proverbs have lasted over time. "History repeats itself."

  • I agree! Rome fell because they allowed democracy to ruin their republic which led to oligarchy. America is on that same path right now & what scares me is the fact that most Americans either don't know that or ignore that, and that most of those Americans are in Washington DC right now!

We need to get back to the Constitution starting with the eligibility of the guy sitting as president.

Every American should see and share the YT videos: America, the Republic & Citizens Grand Jury.

  • All systems have and could work under ideal circumstances. It's the people who have failed throughout history, therein lies the problem.

The ambitious ones will always climb the ladder to get to positions of power that gives them more influence over things in state. Oligarchy & Autocracy springs from people of that sort. Any ideal state regardless of system of government, relies on ideal people. So far in history no system have effectively worked out a way to consistently choose the wise ones.

  • Wisdom isn't the same thing as the learning ability to attain a fine grade and diplomas, which are what people seem to believe, the proof of a persons ability to lead and govern. High intelligence alone are likewised not excluding someone from corruption, or to make bad choices. As long as no system is worked out to choose wise people of integrity, no system will work. Republic or Demoratic. Hell Monarchies, and even Dictatorships have worked for brief times in history all because one person.

  • inner convictions to do the right thing

  • r u communist?

  • What? Do you even know what a communist is? I just disagree with what the poll says is the biggest crisis in AMerica. There are lots of things I consider worse. Considering my name, I think it would be fair to say I'm not a commi. I state an opinion, and morons give me a thumbs down. Real mature.

  • Finnish guy draw hes name on declaration of independence paper during after independence war

  • AWESOME. I especially like the ending our greatest title is 'American' - I think some need to remember this today who wish to violate the Union with petty differences and so-called states rights - issues resolved in war years ago - and to those who do not understand that Pursuing Happiness is in part material or economic and related to Promoting the General Welfare in the Constitution and thus Government responsibility to encourage productivity, abundance, and prosperity - read our Fathers.

  • people need to understand (Even tho I'm Canadian)

    The Declaration of Independance reads....

to secure these rights [to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness], governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it..."
