Population does come into it, but mostly it's to do with money and infrastructure. Cricket is the number one sport in countries like Aus, Eng and India, and therefor a lot of money is injected. Moving fwd, at some point, the back part of his foot clearly lifts off the ground, leaving him with no part behind the line. One thing that ought to be discussed is how the first LBW referral shout vs Lyon was overturned? Those who were watching it live will know what i'm talking about...it clearly showed the ball hitting in line after straightening off the pitch, but the "eagle eye" tracker had it going on with the arm. It took such a long time for the footage to come through and decision to be made that one really must wonder what went on behind the scenes there.
