E' bravissima ma sembra un'aria d'opera. Magari se fosse un po' più austera non guasterebbe. Per esempio ci sono troppi trascinamenti e molte note sono prese dal basso. Stilisticamente preferisco la Bonney. Comunque la Damrau tecnicamente è proprio brava.

Dessay sounds beautiful, but she "sings" the music. Damrau feels it...and we feel it too. The sentiment is one of hope and joy, Too many singers play it with melancholy. The words are about God coming to earth...becoming one of us...dwelling among us.

Thanks for posting Diana Damrau's rendition of the "Et incarnatus est." from Mozart's Great Mass. Her version is simply outstanding! Love that nightingale voice of hers.

They were 4 sisters:

1. Aloysia: Mozart wrote many concert arias for her, she also premiered the role of Mme. Herz from Der Schauspieldirektor, and also the Vienna-premiere of Don Giovanni as Donna Anna.

2. Josepha: premiered the role of QOTN and sang it around 200 times till her death!

3. Constanze: Mozart's wife (had some influence on his music), he wrote this piece for her.

4. Sophie: she was a very good singer according to some reviewers, but Mozart didn't compose anything for her^^.
