  • That's not swing dance I'm 10 and I can swing better!

  • we have to do the swing and the tango at our school

  • Very fine, no problem to speed or whatever, have fun !

  • Don't worry about what people say. You did a fine job swing dancing. I enjoyed watching the video.

  • wow shes tall i thought she was gonna hit her head on the floor at 0:39 haha

  • I don't see why everyone is knocking the dancing; it's well done! Escpecially for someone who isn't very experianced, to be doing the aerials so well! Keep up the good work!

  • Your boring!

    Music is not right either

  • Your boring!

  • aburridoooooooo...

  • @arcoeid buscar el baile "Lindy Hop"

  • i have a junior high dance and we have to learn how to swing dance and now that i see this i am pretty damn excited!!!!

  • @BadGradeGenious Looks up how to instructional videos for "East Coast Swing" and some videos of "Lindy Hop". You'll start off learning East Coast Swing and eventually move on to Lindy Hop. :-)

  • 0:41 she is hottttt :D

  • how is that the swing?????????

  • @1MikeLaz It's actually "hustle" a partner dance from the 1970s. :-)

  • they arent as fast as the other ones...

  • I would seriously be interested on how well a swing dancer would cross train over into judo..

Or how a judo person would train into a swing dancer...

  • @thefakeyeti

hehe, It's a good question, and I intend to find an answer to it :P

    I've been traing judo for 8 years, and I'll probably start swing-dance autumn'11 ^^

  • @LtSaMuLL Make sure you learn Lindy Hop!

  • Boringg

  • Somebody was Feeling the Music. Lmao:))

    Btw Awesome swing (;

  • Since it was just for fun, bravo!! good film and good dancing!!

  • awesome that makes me motivited to learn

  • @TheHoopingLeprechaun FYI, outside of the ballroom community, us swing dancers don't say "the swing". There's actually many different swing dances. What you probably learned is East Coast Swing. :-)

  • lol

  • A very nice one. I don't dance and possess no qualifications to pass comments, but one thing is for sure, this video is fun. I really enjoyed it, and in fact it has kindled in me a desire to learn to dance. Thanks for posting.

  • @rajeev0520 Make sure you learn Lindy Hop! :-)

  • Does anybody know the name of this move at 0:09?

  • @shadowfox1383 Why does it have to have a name? When people learn to dance, they have this obsession that something has to have a name, and it is usually pointless because even if it does have a name, it's called something else by another person.

  • hes going so slow D: speed that shit up man, good job tho :P

  • @thefalcon117 Faster, huh? Have you seen my videos? :-)

  • @lindyhop411 haha lindy doesn't count XD its damn fun tho

  • @thefalcon117 That's because he's doing all the work ! He is a very good dancer to be able to make her dance.

  • Dude, ok. They are dancing for fun not to entertain people or to prove something. The fun is the true nature of any dancing. Passion , Love and Fun. If technic is your main point is not much different than turning a wrench.

  • @rtlz1985 That's not true. The main point is to have fun, but trying to figure out dancing on your own is like trying to figure out ice skating on your own. Yeah, you'll eventually get it, but a good teacher can have you up on your feet in one lesson and keep you from making a fool of yourself.

  • you did great men, did you get a bonner?

    good performance

  • at least you didn't drop her

  • horroroso!!!!!!!! and UGLY

  • Any time I try it I end up dancing salsa. I'm freakin addicted to salsa....

  • i want to swing dance to zoot suit riot

  • Who wants to try this?!

  • Lol, I am gonna have music that you can swing dance to at my b-day party but idk how so my bf is gonna teach me at my party

  • ¡Vamos, vamos! Eso de swing tiene lo que tarzán de alergia a la kriptonita

  • i hated it you suck t with your partner like were not in he east coast

  • it was good :) if you want to do more in the future, just check out the Strictly Swing section of competitions. and if you compete... the first time they see you straighten your arm they wont bother to look at you again. lol but with practice, its good :) keep it up. and i think that was east coast, it was more bouncy then west coast is suppose to be. lol

  • Good job, keep it up!

  • this is nice, but a little rough... maybe more precision and it would look a 100 times better

  • this is not a swing...there is so much lifting..i cannot see its beauty...

  • This is East Coast Swing. There are lifts.

  • @kjean86 "Lifts" don't come from East Coast, they come from Lindy Hop.

  • @lindyhop411 Yes.. I'm aware that they come from. Lindy Hop.. as does Six Count ECS. (And WCS and Country).. But lifts are very much a part of ECS. They aren't as fluid in ECS as you'd see them used in Lindy. If used in ECS you break the dance.. .. you have to pause, count it out, and go. While in Lindy it's actually part of the pace. You might ask Sylvia Sykes or Momma Tena what their take would be in arials or lifts in ECS. I happen to teach ECS myself.

  • @kjean86 The addition of lifts in ECS is a fairly new addition, specifically with the resurgence of the popularity of swing dancing during the Neo-Swing era; however, this is mainly from enthusiastic novices wanting to put Lindy steps into a ballroom basic that was more common to learn. The ballroom ECS syllabus is based on the fact that Lindy Hop was viewed as an improper dance, hence no lifts.

I know Sylvia and her partner Jonathan Bixby, as well as Frankie Manning, and other famous dancers

  • great!

  • gosh i would like to dance swing...but it seems really hard to learn!

  • omg no it is very easy! At least if you have a good teacher. If you wanna take classes make sure you do Lindy Hop. Its amazing :)

  • this looks like USF. . . is it?

  • LMAO if they fucked up on 0:40. That would be bad!!

  • Single step swing!

  • dude this is no swing dancing, it is Hustle. There are moves from swing and salsa, but definitely Hustle. Next time try the "floor mopping" and "Eiffel Tower" moves!

  • no this is definetly east coast swing /single step

  • You guys are great. :)

  • Chill with the technical complaints. They represented the fun exciting nature of the swing. I've seen trophy holders who didn't represent the character of the dance this well.

  • love swing! its my most altime favorite!!!!!!!!! good job guys. you look like you had a blast. i know i do when i do swing.:)

  • haha looks like you guys had fun =]

  • ouch, my shoulder joints hurt from watching that. Army men, please stop beating on the girls.. low, quiet hands, slightly bend elbows for the rockstep stretch...

  • When I was 15, me and my girlfriend Andrea are doing swing dancing. I spun her, dipped her and twirled her.

  • you're good, keep going and you're gonna be great! =]

  • that is not the swing o well

  • You're wrong, it is swing, maybe not dance competition level, but definitely a form of swing. And for someone inexperienced I'd say they were having fun.

  • What do you mean it is not swing?

  • awesome u are soo pretty! and just so you know even if you are in experianced you still rock!

  • does anybody know what the move from 0:36-0:41 is called? me and my friend are doing it, i just learned it today :D

  • This move called "delaney"

  • around the world

  • I don't know what its called, but it's fun :] swing dancing is awesome! ahah oh apparently the delaney lol

  • They are missing a lot of steps.

  • nice flip

  • esto es una vil tonteria, no saben bailar para nada, el mono ese parece arritmico, mmm creo q mi hermanito baila mejor q el

  • I thought that you did a great job. It was a little rough starting, but the rest looked like you had been dancing together for years. Very smooth once you got going. You made it look easy which it is not....but the best part is that you made it look like fun. Thanks for sharing!

  • you guys are great! especially for being "inexperienced"!

  • its good but theyre wayyy too slow for swing.

    no offense.

thumbs down me if you want. but yea

  • they're doing east coast.. the timing is normal. you can sync it up to mambo #5, a faster song, just fine.

  • hey it looks good, i want more vids!!! :D:D:D

  • I agree, you two look very good. Keep going with that! Makes me want to learn how to swing dance!

  • u guys r good!

ive barely started swing dance and Adam(my partner) and me have only learned the sweetheart hold, the cradle, and the pretzel :3

    its so much fun!! :D

  • that would hurt if she fell!!!!!

  • Nice!

  • I thought you two looked great!

  • very coollllll...thanks for teaching us some moves...

  • Jumping Jack Flash?

  • Oh wow, for being inexperienced, as you say, you're pretty darn good!

I'd be freaking out with all the flips and stuff if I was you, haha.

  • thats actually what i was thinking :0

    *Cheers for hawaii* (my home)

  • dude is dancing sonidero LOL,

  • people are such haters. Keep on dancing!

  • His arms extend too much. Both of their arms, actually. Lacks a strong connection.

  • Your dancing is better than you let on! If your ever in Boston stop by Swing Central and I'd be happy to dance with you!

  • idk what yuhs are sayn ... i liked it... lol

  • 1:06 is my favorite tornado ever!

  • I'm a beginner and you guy's look great for beginners! Love your video!

  • AHA! That is the fitness center at USF I knew it looked familiar, I was just practicing there :P (Swing club on Thursday nights)

  • all they do is turn

  • Great job!

  • thats awsome! wow you are great dancers

  • I am very inspired by your video! You all really know how to swing!

  • Good job! Makes me with I was dancing with her!!

  • Swell, you two cut a mean rug. Solid...

  • Good! I want to learn.

  • the girl's got beautiful legs

  • This is very cool!

  • Very nice Dip at 0:55!!!! I like it!!!! Keep dancing!! There is so much more to learn!!!

  • You guys are good. I would also say though, that if you enjoy east coast swing, you should try Lindyhop. if you don't like it, that's fine, but it's pretty fun I think.

  • you've got some basic moves down, but I reccommend Lindy Hop. It will broaden your dancing horizons immensely.

  • dude, this is legit. you have all of the moves down solid, you could probably do this song at double speed and still have it be clean. Plus you seem to know a ton of moves.

East Coast is fun, but the only way to swing is Lindy hop. once you discover Lindy you never go back. :P

  • im only 14 & learning swing dancing in school wish i new how to do moves like that we are having a competition but I wish i could learn some good moves b4 I did itt could u help :S

  • Nice! I am starting to learn to swing dance in PE but not like this! XD Yours is way better!

  • same here. the PE teachers look like they don't know what they're doing compared to this.

  • Are you kidding me? I wish I could dance like that... I've got two left feet... lucky bugger

  • This is awesome! I looove swing dancing! So much fun :D Great job!

  • Hahaha, nice work. I started with East Coast swing as well. You should move on to Lindy Hop though!!! It's a whole new type of challenge!!!

  • not bad at all! Just work on your posture, grace, and balance. Ballet will teach you these.

  • FEELING GUYS, FEELING

  • looks like fun!

  • I agree with the majority of people on here... you did damn well for someone who is "inexperienced". I seriously miss my ballroom classes!

  • okay um wasnt her head a little close to the ground

  • this involves trust, and confidence. you are good for an "inexperienced" swing dancer. if you call yourself an inexperieces one in swing, then what will you call me, i only dance modern so im just dancing swing if its required and if there will be a performance. so... you are now officially one of the best inexperienced swing dancer ever..!!

  • Just needs a wee bit of style and youv nailed it :)

  • Pretty fancy for a beginner! :) Also, I love your shirt.

  • yea!! what marlowann said lol=p

  • Man, that takes experience, strength... and trust.

    Well done.

  • I agree. I've swing danced with really crappy leads before, so by watching I'd say you have pretty darn good technique for a inexperienced dancer.

  • veryyy nice...i so wanna learn that!!

  • u were actually good for an "inexperienced" one though!

  • Where did you get that version of Jumpin' Jack Flash?

  • Yea seriously!!?

  • Very good. Except the footwork was slightly behind the beat and needed speed up to tempo. Is that guy's name Chevin?? I think I've taken a class from him before.

  • I agree !..

  • for not dancing much that's damn good. This coming from someone who goes swing dancing about once a week.

  • wow... for an inexperienced dancer, that was AMAZING!!! :D

  • You are VERY good looking! And you dance cool too!

  • jumpin' jack flash by the rolling stones. i agree awesome job

  • what song is that?

  • that stuff is better than what I can do.

    nice job

  • I think you did a wonderful job!

  • Thanks for posting this and doing it slow enough for noobs to see how it's done. Keep up the good work.

  • good stuff nonetheless

  • if what you say is true, and you are inexperienced, then i can tell you now, that was bloody brilliant, you go girl!!

  • The dance is good, but your backsteps are a little too big. Try to make them smaller. =]

  • Very cool. Like craaazy, man! Seriously, great job!

  • Dude screw the evil comments on this video. I am interested in doing some swing dancing and I've never done it before. So this video is kinda giving hope that it isn't overly hard.

  • Tres Bien! Tres Bien! Good flips and turns but, Dude, needs to loosen-up more and you both neet to put in more time:}

  • its good but I think that this guy need a better posture.

  • u guys are good!

  • Muy lindo ! ; gracias ,desde argentina ! :)

  • damn sheven...you've improved like crazy since then

  • heh sheven is only one of the best leads in tampa bay. you better have gotten an A.

  • I like the guy singing at 1:50 he's kinda my hero

  • good job =]

  • omg i remeber this in grade 8 we learned this lol!

  • Its jitterbug, a basic 6 count swing, not the tripple step you usually see, you should see these guys at zendah! their amazing now!

  • it is to swing dancing...It's just a different type of swing!!

    I think that ya'll did really good!!:D

  • interesting way to get into cherry bomb, after charleston. very cool. i also like how you led out of washing machiene, i've been looking for a cool way to do that, thanks! and you other people on here are WAY TOO CRITICAL!!!

  • its a type of swing

  • yall rock

  • Students at USF? That's odd i haven't seen you at the grotto yet.

  • pravi ples

  • your quite brave, i'm tall and i don't feel confident with anyone picking me up..let alone flipping me around. I'd love to be able to dance though!
