Sweet video of the old #1! I miss seeing the old #1 railbed snake through those famous sheds. I hope someday that someone will restore the #1 to it's former glory.
@CoastStarlight11 Thanks J. Just the right place at the right time, although I had waited for a few hours for something. It was unusual in that loaded westbounds usually got track 2. Thanks for commenting
I love this video, me and my brother walked in these old tunnels in the summer of 2009. Sometime I will edit the video and post here. It was shot in HD 1080P. Spent an afternoon getting lots of footage. Also filmed A frieght coming out of the now used track 2 tunnel. This is very clear, What fortmat was is clip filmed on ? VHS, 8mm video ?
@mycoolhomevideos This was filmed in Video 8 then transferred to a Mac using a Grass Valley ADVC-55 and exported in H264 at the original size using Final Cut Express. Thanks for watching
WOW, we're 6 days away from that being 20 years ago! Nearly every thing in this video is now gone. Sure, time marches on, but damn, does it need to break into a full sprint when it comes to our trains!
@espeescotty Agreed!! There's just so much less emotion watching today's locomotives struggle up a grade like this. The GEVO's and ACe's basically hum their way along. Sad.

@jigbobby Nice. Back in like 2005 I hiked up to this place and got pictures of where the track once was. I think this is now a MOW road for UP.
