Well dang i just got promoted to saber team commander in my AFJROTC, and im thinking im gonna get us started on doing this instead of just formal drill.

This trains the cadet/airmen to be completely disciplined, and obeidience.

that guy is such a dick how are you going to compare fencing to a drill team a drill team is organized exhibition for the military. fencing is a sport where you poke someone on the chest lol. is hold know i am on Rifle Drill Team and starting a Sabre Guard in my JROTC.

Not bad at all....you might want to consider white sabres for better visibility, however (but there may be regs against that).

can someone explain to me how this started?? i mean, did a person from rifle drill team start spinning a saber and then say, "lets make this a team"??? cuz i thought saber drill was basically tricks with the saber but not touching the blade

no, i have no idea how to go about all this, maybe ill just contact the academy, but i still wont bother until my grades go up. This is going to sound crazy, but i think the AFA is for ppl who like to study and go to school which is my one problem otherwise i have all the other requirements.

This is true, you have to be dedicated to your school and military work. Military requires a lot and the lowest amount of credit hours I had was 18. I averaged around 21. If you would like any help, let me know what state you are from and I can contact my liason officer and see if I can get a name for you.
