  • Is this the same guy from "Gun Websites"? Sounds the same

  • God was trying to mess with the review.

  • All that u showed u have to get it sepret

  • Which one is better

  • Awesome kit.

  • Wind in the background ruined the vid for me. Couldn't even get half-way through it. You really don't need to be outdoors to show the contents of a survival kit.

  • @NGMonocrom

Rudeness ruined the comment for me.. Couldn't get past the whining to hear anything worthwhile

Only a princess or a child is so worried about minor issues like wind to get all upset about it

  • @GearBuyersGuide

Gear buyer's guide? Yeah, a real professional set up you have there. Review products in an unprofessional manner followed by an unprofessional and immature response to a bit of constructive criticism. I'll be sure to avoid your amateurish vids from now on.

  • @NGMonocrom

Princess / child defines you pretty well I'd say.. LOL

  • @GearBuyersGuide I don't mind the wind - at least it shows you were outdoors. More power to you for being there.

  • @NGMonocrom I personally enjoy the various changes in the scenery, and really, the wind? I didn't even notice it, till after I read your comment. And it's like no problem at all.

  • hey gbg!! great vids man i am not sure if you realized it but that "necklace" is actually a hand saw you don't take off the plastic just start sawing and the plastic will peel it self...also don't use as a necklace after the plastic is off def. not condusive to survival wearing a saw as a necklace. keep up the good vids man.

  • @fire1169101 medics, and anybody else who knows the whistle has a compartment in it.

  • just so you know, the mirror is in three parts and undfolds to make a bigger mirror. all you have to do is temporarily take off the dog tag silencer.

  • @djzadjza I thought that three mirrors would give more angles of reflection thus giving a wider scope of success in reflecting the light and being seen. But I think your right it must be to scale the kit down. Perhaps it works both ways though.

  • all that crap is = 5$ spent at a dollar store

  • @cocktractor101

big talk, attach a video where you find all this at a dollar satore, then use it .. till then.. just talk

  • i like it better unassmebled so u can use the knife with fire starter and its just easier to use

  • nice landscape where is this?

  • Nice review and gear. I bookmarked the website and will likely be buying some gear soon. As an old Jarhead I of course have to talk smack about dogfaces (especially Scouts and Rangers). That being said, it pains me to admit that Ranger Rick provides some inexpensive options that someone might actually have on them when they need it. The greatest survival kit does you no good at all if you don’t have it when you need it. Something is always better than nothing. Semper Fi

  • Good Job Gear Buyer Guide! Excellent move! You did the right thing in removing all those distaseful comments from Sphinxrising58. This is suppose to be an educational page and review about a survival kit, not a place to vent your anger in questioning someone's military experience and expertise. Again, I compliment your actions. Wish there were more Youtube producers like you.

  • what type of knife do you have? thats cool how they wrap the paracord so its 1 inch to 18

  • Cute little trinkets. Not hardly survival gear. I'd like to see someone go into the woods and survive 3 days with nothing more than this.

  • @WILCOX11B

We all have opionions.. only after looking at some of your recent comments it seems almost all of yours are negative..

  • @GearBuyersGuide lol yeah i hate people like him who have little knowledge of the wilderness =]

  • @WILCOX11B id say thats enough to survive for about three days uve got fire options a knife compasses fishing kit etc. i think that if your smart enough you can survive on those items for a while

  • @Everesthombre Good reply, you've hit the nail right smake on the head.

  • @Everesthombre Moron patting another moron on the back, typical.

  • @WILCOX11B I assume you're an infantryman or use to be an infantryman due to that "11B" on the last part of your user name. Pick up any survival book or go to any online survival website and they will all tell you that the most important minimal survival items you should always carry with you at all times while venturing outdoors are these same survival items you see here in this video. Don't believe me, then do some research and you'll see. PS: You must be Mech and not lite Inf, huh?.

  • I'd like to get the key chain kit, good for EDC emergency preparedness. I'd definitely order the mirror and higher quality whistle. Given the importance of a good quality knife I'd probably spend the money and get a Spyderco LadyBug3 for this kit. I know the idea is to get the value of the ridge runner knife along with the inexpensive kit but I think it's much better to have a quality knife. I will admit I have no experience with the Ridge runner knives however

  • @rooftopeagle

You are correct these knives are not made for long term use.. but if you leave it for an emergency, it should work when needed

  • Ranger Rick is a Great resource for kits and info. Thanks for posting my friend~

  • You are aware that most of these things can be bought in a dollar store for much cheaper, right?

  • @sphinxrising58

    I am aware that;

#1 Rick is a good guy, making a good product at a fair price

#2 These 8-12 might cost $8-12 at a $1 store, and then would need additional items (worth a few more bucks) and some time to configure them into the items Rick offers

#3 Rick has tested the items he uses already, so you aren't gambling that the $1 store itme you buy is worthwhile or not

All that = a wash or perhaps a better deal with Rick than a $1 store IMO

  • @ popo8231

The lighter is no longer available I think, but there are instructions to make your own on his website

  • Very cool . 5*

  • so if you buy the regular kit you get the extras to change with the ones on the keyring

  • well, the extras cost extra... but some of the things in this video are options....

I'm not selling these, I suggest you ask Rick about prices, etc

  • Nice vid, thanks, appreciated. Lots of good stuff there, and all of it functional I must go look into their Site, being a gadget type things nut! haha. I was especially pleased to hear the Para cord instructions - 1" = 18" as I happen to be wasting cord when I make up the different projects, knowing the 1" = 18" thing may help a little in selecting the length of cord to cut, although the different knots will no doubt affect that equation , it's a start ! 5X5+Fav&Save !!

  • "Wind Happens" Haha!

    Nice little kit.

  • Now you have to get up on top of that mountain and try out those kits for real. Nice video.

  • @ biguy525

    yea before the snow melts

  • Thanks for the review!!! I might get one of those kits that looks pretty handy and compact!

  • aaw i love these kind of reviews i also got alot of keychain sutvival stuff

  • cool kit and nice overview. I think i would replace that ridge runner knife with a Spyderco ladybug and that led keychain light with a Photon freedom.

  • Nice kit - how much was it?

  • This video covers most of his kits and accessories, all his stuff runs between $15 - $25 depending on which kit & options

link to his site in video description

  • @GearBuyersGuide how did you pay

  • Great kit/ ideas Thanks !!
