I get graphical lag in some occasions, but for most part it runs smoothly on my Nvidia 9600GTX. Got a bit of lag towards the end of this video because I accidently had two arma 2s running and I didn't realize it.
Im running it on an 8800GTX with the leaked 190.15 drivers, and AMD athlon 64 6000 X2 processor & 2GB RAM & its pretty sweet!obviously i cant run it on Very high but not many people can, still looks gorgeous though
uhm, well look on the box of the game, it will tell you what you need. you'll need a better graphics card than what they say and probly a better power supply
Yeah but PC hardware is alot more powerfull now and with all the modding capability things should get better. I suppose it depends on what your looking to get out of a game aswell. Oh well, time will tell....
I aggree it still looks unfinished in places but i wouldn't worry. BI support is fukin awesome and I'm confident in there willingness and ability to resolve these issues.
Ive been playing Arma for a while now and i havent come across anything i would call a massive issue. If a poor reloading animation bugs you that much than im sorry to say that you are going to miss out on a great game overall.
My point isnt that theres bugs in the game all games have bugs you cant miss that.. but a reload animation in an FPS is quite an important thing dont you think? And my main point is issues very similiar or the same to these were found in the first OFP this is 10years on and there still not fixed that calls lazyness in my eyes or too much focus on GFX or something.
I think considering everything this game offers reload animations are hardly important and i dont think its because of laziness. BIS has a limited budget and im sure they wanted to put it to the things that were most important. The fact that you can have 1500 AI dynamically fighting each other wherever and whenever you please is enough to make me forget about reloading animations.
It is lazyness technically this game has been out for 10+ years because its just an upgraded OFP and as i said before it still has as the same problems and querks that OFP had and Arma1 had why? becasue there the same game. Yeah 1500 battle is all well and good but for a Military Sim with GUNS and thers no reload animation it is extremley pathetic. Its not a budget issue a reload anim for that wouldnt take all that long or all that much money.
Is the reload animation going to stop you from buying the game? If not, ok i understand where you are coming from, but if youre not going to buy the game for this sole reason then i dont know what to say.
No it wouldnt stop me buying the game at all but thats not what im saying. It just saddens me that all this hype for the game i was quite looking forward too and i still see the inherant issues from OFP1 lieing around pisses me and screams out lazy developer to me. Im getting OFP:DR though becasue thats a new engine so it will be a new more Cod4 styled expierence (in the way you hold the gun) which i think is perfect on that great big island. But when this goes cheaper ill prolly get it.
I think youre putting too much emphasis on the guns rather than gameplay. I think youre missing the point. I think youd have much more fun actually buying a gun rather than a game.
No game will satisfy all your expectations because we live in the real world and the real world as of yet is impossible to simulate. Give and take on a few things...ultimately I have to say I'm having a LOT of fun with the german release. Multiplayer is a blast a BLAST. I'm looking forward to OFP DR as well..clearly not enough of these military simulations around these days.
Just make sure your framerates are at least 40...anything less and it takes a lot away from gameplay IMHO.
if you have a desktop running Windows 7 make sure you have enabled the high performance power setting in the control panel.

How much would i have to spend on a pc capable of playing this game on low quality?
sharpshootertrigga 2 years ago
@sharpshootertrigga not that much, if u got a crappy pc just go out and upgrade it... unless you want a 1500$ computer

The muzzle flash looks wack.

It's the lower FPS count that makes it look weird...that's why high FPS are essential.

no the muzzle flashes really suck...i play on highest settings with high fps ;)

Wtf was with the reload animation?
gigga97 2 years ago
The top lid opens up and that's it. Can't expect much from armA in the way of animations...it arma after all.

Doesnt it just seem like its so unfinished though.. i mean its just updated OFP and they still cant be assed to properly update it.
