It's a bit weird. I'd have more respect for the show if they'd raised a brouhaha about the worship of George Bush by Evangelical kids. That would, in fact, constitute the sum of my respect for the show.
I don't think there's anything wrong with this. Having the kids learn this song is a fun way of teaching them about some of the stuff Obama's doing to try to make the country stronger.
It's not surprising at all that right-wingers would view this as indoctrination though. They don't see anything strange about taking their kids to church, but teaching them about the president is terrible. At least we know that Obama is real.
