@323man323 one bible i has always used is the New International Version. It is a great translation, and is completely trustworthy when it comes to Jesus's teachings.

The reason jesus did not try to save himself while he was being crucified was because he loves us. we are all dead in our sins (Romans 3:23) but he loved us so much that he sacrificed himself so that we could go to heaven with him. Then he rose from the dead 3 days later, proving that death had no hold on him. I hope this helped.

@323man323 the reason there are so many versions of the bible is so that everyone can understand what it says. over the years, spoken language has changed, so it would be very hard for present-day people to understand something written 30 years ago, much less 2000 years ago. however, the teachings of the bible have never changed, and nothing has been added, removed, or changed. you can trust the bible to be the true word of god. we know this because bibles have been found from time periods...
