  • i wouldnt count the ipod sensor as a bad point. You dont need it to run

  • i love them in this color

  • hey im looking for shoes that'll last a long time and also to wear everyday(play b-ball with friends, soccer, football etc) and i was wondering if these would last long???

  • @halkon989 Probably not the best shoe for football. It has no ankle support and isn't durable for a full blown match.

  • how durable is it?

  • @greensoilder - It is quite durable but to be fair, I only had them for around 5 and a half months before selling them on. The colour did start to go, which has been mentioned, but it was still in excellent condition before I sold them.

  • its NIKEEEEEEEEE jeez

  • can we do free running in this shoe???

  • Good for running 1600 meter?????

  • @ZAN871

    yeah.

but spikes would save you a couple more seconds (at most 5)

  • awful denim, but dope shoe

  • How can they say it's like barefoot when it has a huge heel like that...

  • @cmalchik My thoughts exactly. I'll keep my fivefingers.

  • Listen I have a special eddition glow in the dark shoes they r the exact same... They grow with your feet and last a lot longer than this dude says but he is right about basketball and sports.. But a huge advantage is that you can jump at least 1inch higher than you can with any other shoes.. They have lasted me 2 1/2 years and they r very comfy and easy to slide on and off I suggest getting them!

  • you say nik not nik-e lol

  • im 16 and just starting to to run as a daily fitness excercise. would you recomend them for what i'm doing? i dont run far either

  • Since this was posted a while back, how well did they last? Have you had any experience with the 3.0? I'm interested in them just as a way to strengthen my stability muscles when I walk around school and what not. I probably wouldn't train in them.

Thanks! If you could respond on my wall, that would be fantastic! Thanks!!!

  • @THSdrummer - Well, after 6 months or so, the colour on the toe area, which is black, turned white. The heel cushion also started to come off bit. I sold it on eBay a few days after that.

  • @AsamPlusONE did you bleach it? is that why it turned white?

  • @shylildude No, it just went white after a bit of wear and tear. There might've been an issue with the pair I bought.

  • Get a better camera and audio. Too hard to understand.

  • ur jeans suck... -.-

  • will these be good for the 1500m, 800m, and the 3200m

  • I love my Nike Free 5.0 as walking shoes! They are great for walking and I put at least 4 miles per day on them.

  • are these good for flat footed people? i read somehwere that these shoes will build up your foot strength (arch) and help correct your gate by emphasizing barefoot running. Would you recommend these for flat footed people?

  • would these be good for parkour and freerunning?

  • @B0NB0NG. No such thing as 7.0's the next shoe in the series is the Nike free run+ and it does have a place for the Nike plus sensor.

  • 7.0s have the chip right?

  • nike free 5.0! Love it! i have bought one nike free 5.0 shoes ,my favorite, share with you, site:

    .airshoeline com

  • I tried them and almost got them, but they weren't as comfortable as he was making them out to be. They didn't offer enough support.

  • i returned these b/c they were too bright. i was embarrased to wear em

  • @TheUtvolunteer haha I've worn some bright orange nike shoes and got a nice smile and hey from this girl I ran past one time. I didn't like the shoes though so I got a refund. My saucony's are doing the job just fine.

  • ahhahahaahah u hear how he says Nike....british people man...

  • i want to get this shoe but im running 100m sprints. do you think its a good shoe for that type of training? or will that type of running wear it uot fast??

  • Difficult to say, but imo, these are best for cross country and long distance rather than 100m. I dont know if they'll be able to sustain the force of 100m. Im no expert but that would be my guess.

  • @AsamPlusONE hey bro can u use these on a tredmill?? cuz many times i hit the gym at night and do sum HIT...

  • @yayipiri01

at the store i heard the complete oposite... this shoe is for sprints and isn't durable enough for longer distances. hence you see more sturdy shoes for longer distances. (just visit a shoes store and ask about it)

  • @yayipiri01 haha, YES definitely, I'd say you'd need those shoes with the intense cushioning for longer distances, but if you're able to train barefoot for short distances, go for it!

  • @yayipiri01

    No.

If you want to do sprints get sprint flats which are even lighter than these. Nike Free are made for everyday running not sprinting.

  • @yayipiri01 I only use these on the track for 400m sprints. They are great for that IMO.

  • I do a lot of body weight and cross fit training. Many people wear the vibram 5.

That's a little to much of nothing. Would you say these are one step up from that for protection?

  • Hey i am a highschool track runner (sprinter) would these be good to practice in?

  • I'm to the point where I run anything less than 10 miles in these.

  • how much did you buy it for?

  • just fyi, they dont put the "nike running sensor" in the sole because the sole has so many different sections, separated by very deep grooves, to make it as flexible as possible that there isn't enough room to put a slot in for the "sensor" without compromising flexibility.

  • I think they released a new model that takes the sensor now.

  • you can put the running sensor in your shoe anywhere although they are annoying..

  • wow i completely agree. this shoe definently should have nike+ for the ipod.

  • Where did you get that color?

  • Nike Store - Regent Street, London

  • how is not being able to have the chip in a massive disappointment? given the low amounts of cushioning you would feel the chip and it would start to hurt your heel like a mother. I personally think its for the better not to be able to use the chip in this shoe. Besides, you can always get a shoelace strap for the chip if it bothers you that much.

  • Fair comment, I see your point. Most of the new shoes have this incorporated in so, I guess I was getting at the fact that I would've been better if it did have it.

    Regards

  • No, I agree...mabye they could have incorporated it somewhere else on the shoe instead of directly underneath the feet. However, I do believe the the Nike Free everydays (or something like that) do have a spot for the chip.

  • @DheadHead the chip doesn't go in the heal and there is a spot for it in nike + shoes

  • My mom is afraid this shoe would injure me before track try outs would it

  • Depends on what is your event

  • 400m and 800m

  • well i think you can use them to train but you should get the cleats too

  • thx

  • no problem

  • Hey mate - don't worry about the insert thing. Just ditch that training watch and buy a Grumman GPS training watch. No need for insert, distance is measured using GPS satellites, etc. The Grumman training device is so worth the money, just like the Niki Free. I have had my Free 5.0 for 8 months and despite lots of races and training - they are still going strong. I even brought a second pare, just in-case Nike cancel the line. They are so cosy to ware dude!.

  • the "nike free everyday+ 2" has the nike plus insert and its made for serious everyday training which means its more durable and will last you longer.

even thought its more durable, comfort is NOT sacrificed!

  • Aye' You don't need no sensor in your sole, listen to your Running Soul Laddie!!

  • This shoe is amazing! I have the white ones and I mainly use it to strengthen my plantar fascia.

  • It could quite easily last longer than 12 months, but I would surprised if they did - especially if you tend to use them everyday.

I might another do another video after 12 months to show what condition they are in.

They are very comfortable so you should be able to run far distances with these.

  • so this type of shoes only last for 12 months??

  • can you run very far distances with these?

  • You can mate. I ave run regular 10 mile training runs and half marathons. They are if anything better for distance because of how light and comfortable they are.

Just buy a pair. I so recommend them. I ran the great south run in mine and i have also run the Finstock 10k (a trail run, up hill and down dale) in them. The Nike frees handled the course no problem. They are the dogs...!

  • @vassallo8 people run 15 miles barefoot nowadays, so this is barefoot + cushioning
