  • did servan really get hurt or was it story line like owen did that same shit to austin

  • @tsaleh88 he really got hurt you can look it up

  • OMG this was Russo era wasn't it? How the fuck does it make sense for Owen, a hated heel, to act upset and remorseful after the tombstone!?

Surely he should have been gloating and being all "I did it! Woo!" and gotten massive heat from the crowd. Fuck those bastards held him back.

  • @Lewis1711 maybe cos he was an actual human being who thought the welfare of a man was more important than a fucking wrestling angle you stupid idiot

  • @Kiefty

This was a work though. He didn't actually break Severns neck like he did Austins.

  • @Lewis1711 Or it's setting up a 'face turn' it didn't but it easilly could of. Instead they had OH become BB who was a heal as well. But it allowed a change from the 'enough is enough' push.

  • FUCKING OWNED

  • @MrShadowFoot more like he got owened heh

  • it was owen's demise the storyline of him being sorry for what he did and pretending to retire just to go into the blue blazer char and we know the rest

  • NWA Heavyweight and another title I'm not familiar with.

  • @NationOfAnimation That's the UFC Superfight Title Belt

  • @NationOfAnimation A UFC belt; probably the Superfight belt he beat Ken Shamrock for.

...and if you pause it exactly @1:14 you can see Severn's head was indeed exposed and would hit the mat, even though the whole thing afterwards w/ the stretcher/announcers/etc. was planned. I wonder if he really was injured and if so, to what degree...

  • everybody knew that shit was FAKE lol wheres the nation at??

  • @Washanen07: Nation was beginning to disintegrate by this time. After Rock lost the Intercontinental title, the group started to lose cohesiveness. D'Lo was getting a big head with the European title, Godfather had been absent due to being injured in Brawl For All boxing tourney during the summer, & Rocky started looking to the World title ignoring his team more & more. Owen lost his nerve on this match after messing up Severn's neck. He retired from Nation not long later.

  • man i really miss owen he had the potential to be as great as bret ever was and better than triple h ever will be

  • it's a work based off of what happened to Austin

  • I think Owen Hart actually got a bigger pop than Severn, even if most of the crowd was chanting "Nugget"

  • @Dink513 A bigger reaction, but not a bigger initial pop...

Does anyone else want to see Dan Severn vs. Kurt Angle?

  • was that the nwa world title sereven had around his waist

  • Yep.

  • man i really like when severn was in wwe i didnt really care for shamrock too much but severn was the shit i wish hed come back

  • say was this shoot or just a work? That piledriver seems to be a dangerous move.

  • @OzoneStranded AND The original UFC belt...maybe a Superfight belt. It was also probably the loudest pop Severn has received...

  • Comment removed

  • The piledriver is such a dangerous move I am really glad wrestlers don't do it anymore. You can look at Owen after he did it he knew he messed up.

  • Eh, you do realize that in this instance, it was a work, right?

  • yes it's a work off when Owen did break Austin's neck with the pile driver.

  • was this the end of savern???

  • He turned heel again on Blackman in the second Lion's Den Match and appeared in Royal Rumble '99. But this was the beginning of the end for Severn, Yes.

  • Also he returned in 2002 in a dark match but went in to cage rage and other mma company

  • Owen 3:16 returns!!!
