Stock Air box & NO baffles = LEAN RUNNING CONDITION.
Your exhaust needs the backpressure that your baffles produce for
low end torque. DO A PLUG CHOP and I GUARENTEE your plugs will be ghostly white. If this were my bike, I'd be getting a high flow filter, and at least the H.D. stage 1 download. (Call your local H.D. dealer and they'll tell you the same)

I believe he just took a holesaw and drilled through the end. Slid out the piece that was cut.
