My main point is that I think it is a government and military induced fantasy (created for public consumption) that the typical soldier goes around "praying for peace" like this tribute video pretends. I don't think most soldiers are interested in dialogue, or negotiation, or any of the hard work that peace requires.

I'm in it, and it teaches you all about Canadas military, drill, respect, etc.

learn, if you want me to find evidence that Afghan people are asked to leave areas in advance of planned fighting and bombing, I will find it for you. Also as a regular reader of major media,I have neverread of villagers asking NATO to come their town to "defend" them. It is always NATO looking for a fight in some remote area where the government has little to no local support

It may be a generalization, but it's not exactly a coincidence that every second soldier profile lists a war movie or war video game as the person's favorite. My main point is that I think it is a government and military induced fantasy (created for public consumption) that the typical soldier goes around "praying for peace" like this tribute video pretends. I don't think most soldiers are interested in dialogue, or negotiation, or any of the hard work that peace requires.
