I suggest you join Cadets while you're at it. Its a fun Military run program for Canada.
I'm in it, and it teaches you all about Canadas military, drill, respect, etc.
You also get paid to attend the training camps.

My father is a soldier, I am not saying that some soldiers are just in it for the rush, however, not ALL are.
My dad once said that he would be gladly be out of a job, by brother has said the same thing, the other members whom I have posed this question to have also said it.
For the most part they do NOT want to be awat from their families being shot at - think of it that way before you speak.
