Elvis knows 3 chord on guitar , jim morrison is not only a singer he is a poet . Jim was real men real feeling , elvis was popular because he was a rebel singer and all the.kids love elvis for this thats why , elvis was the king of rock and jim was the king of acid rock
I love the Doors and are one of my biggest influences. However, I do not agree that Jim does this better than the Elvis. Elvis's version is so pure and honest and just raw with him & the guitar. It's seemless from the beginning to end and it's filled with amazing phrasing and humility. Jim was a great singer, but he even knew that he could never get to where Elvis could go.
Jim Morrison was a better singer than Elvis in my opinion... And also a better songwriter and musician. Roadhouse Blues is the ultimate Rock 'n Roll song if you ask me.
@Florencione Morrison couldn't even play an instrument while Elvis could play guitar, bass, and piano. Morrison was a great singer, but Elvis was on another level. Elvis, sang Rock, Country, Blues, Gospel, and Pop effortlessly. Morrison never even attempted half of those genres. I'm a Morrison fan like you, but I'm not blinded in realizing that Elvis was in a higher realm than Morrison. Jim would say the same thing.
@MrDjchezzare Maybe I was wrong on the musician thing then but the other things I said I still agree with. Also, keep in mind that Jim Morrison died way younger than Elvis.
Do you agree that Roadhouse Blues is the purest Rock 'n Roll song there is?
@inogi339 Jim's voice chrome was influenced from Elvis the early years(later Sinatra took his place) because was his teen idol..Elvis was a handsome glamourous and sexy performer in a mainstream ''bright'' way. Jim was(is) all that but in a ''dark'' psychedelic way...and a lot more ''magnetic'' in my opinion..
@nataliebowman79 ah, jim makes it alright. stoned immactulate we all are. not too caught up in the civilized life, jim got off on. thenhe said fuck it im gone.
yeah man, great stuff i used to have it on a bootleg but i dont have it anymore so im glad its on here...allright allright allright allright were gona save the whole world!!!
@PopCultureSucks its the same soul, we are all part of the greatness, some just choose to be selfish, or ingorant. not me though, my eyes are wide the fuck open.

Una de las canciones más expresiva que cantó James Douglas Morrison y lo hizo con un alto sentimiento propio.
