Vera Zvonareva vs Serena Williams 2011 Eastbourne Highlights

When ppl make comments like "Serena is too fat for tennis" it cracks me up. It's true, yes she does have a different build from the rest of the field, but at the same time a much better resume than them as well. Call it what you want, her "fatness" has won her 13 Grand Slams, more than any active player, so umm.... really???

Bu, sadly she loses. After a major comeback and then she just loses it again. It was kind of like that in the US OPEN FINAL against Samantha Stosur becuz she lost the first set 6-2 and then started out the second great. But, Sam actually comes back to win in straights 6-2 6-3. It was a great match by both players!!!

What is rediculous about this match is that Serena should beat someone like Zvonareva in straights wither or not it is her first tourn. back. Because she is the best!!!

It's funny that it takes a Serena that was playing her first tournament back from a year of injury and illness for a "top" player like zvonareva to beat Serena..in like 3 close sets, LMFAO.

End of first set was VINTAGE Serena with a lil extra OOMPH. If she had more time to prepare, she would probably played like that consistently throughout Wimbledon.

@williamsfan4ever Perhaps fans should not feel sorry for the rest of the field at wimby ;-) Serena was defeated in the 4th Round of Wimbledon by Marion Bartoli of France in straight sets 63 76. Hope she can catch up fast come US Open 2011. Serena Wiliams is turning 30 this year.

WMBLDN her game is only a tiniest touch sharper still as well as her physical shape, she'll be virtually unbeatable.

Vera was accurate and very quick moving around. It's only because she's in such great shape that Williams didn't beat her because Serena's tennis here could have been quite sufficient to win the tournament.

It's surprising how high the level of play is, almost no errors in these highlights. Amazing Serena is paying this well, but I thought it was noticeable that in the first two sets Serena appeared to be thinking all the time: 'I need to do this in 2 sets, I need to do this in 2 sets', as if anticipating she wouldn't have the energy for a third.

Yet in the third, she actually seemed to hit into some other energy-reservoir and started playing even better. She's obviously a massive talent & if at...
