So I tried video out in dingux, replaced the kernel, gmenu2x and installed the video out file but afterwards would not even load into dingux.. its stuck on the opening screen dosn't even try to load the kernel(yes its named zImage) tried a few times re-downloading and installing the files but no go.. had to format my sd and start from scratch is the open dingux support any better?
wish i would have baught this instead of a psp seeing how most psp games suck and i love snes and the majority of retro games. PSP was a waste of money it broke the otehr day so i cant even play the shitty games. it sux im not buying another psp not even the vita. they dont make games as good as they used to. :( when i get my andriod phone that will be what i use for gaming. im tired of these half assed portable gaming systems that have shit tittles and break on purpose so u have to buy more.
@True2TheBlueYoViGang I think you can put emulators on a PSP too, so you can play SNES and Sega Genesis etc. Portable consoles are better for this stuff than touchscreen devices, on a screen your fingers cover a part of the screen and you can't feel what buttons you're pushing.
I would not even bother with PSX emulation on a Dingoo... in fact anyone after better SNES FX Chip Emulation and PSX should look at GPH Wiz/Caanoo or a Andriod Smart Phone... Especially Xperia Play.
Sadly even PSP is not going to give near perfect PSX Emulation and the Dingoo can only manage low speeds even with sound off
@c02pistolman This is not what it was designed for, psx emulation and DOS emulation are hard for netbooks too, and the dingoo is way weaker than a netbook. 2D games are not slow at all. I'm using the original firmware and NES, Gameboy Advance, CPS1, CPS2, Neo-Geo run really well, they are fun to play.
@egyfeju it looks like the wiz or the canoo might run psx better. the dingoo kinda sucks by the looks of things. i just want it to run mgs1,possibly the GT 1 and 2, can it play megadrive? comixzone would look sick
@c02pistolman They must be a lot better for psx emulation than the dingoo. Yes it can play megadrive, most of the games run really good on the native firmware, but I think comix zone only ran about full speed on dingux. Check out my other videos, I've tested a lot of emulators.
@twinturbocrusher The TV needs to have a composite video input (yellow RCA), that's it. The Dingoo supports PAL and NTSC tv format so I think any TV will do.
@gamerz1 I don't know the current dingux version, I updated it when the tv-out got implemented. Gran Turismo is too slow, 1/4 the original speed max (everything I tried in the game worked though, so "only" the speed prevents it from being playable) .
@MrSaturn33 The TV's video quality enhancer helps a lot, but also the TV may be the cause of some tearing (native NES emulator has tearing on this TV too sometimes)
3 fps without sound i'm impresed (well not having 3d gpu is not bad) but the wiz is much better in this area of emulation

@BanjoKiD2K I agree.

Grand Turismo looked really laggy and bad.
MrBarrelson 4 months ago
does the sound work or is it due to a limitation on the Dingoo ?
wingnut4427 5 months ago
@wingnut4427 Sound works. PSX emulator has the sound disabled for speed.

Kedves Egyfeju!
Nem sikerül Dinguxot telepíteni a gépemre.
A dual boot installer telepítése közben mindig lefagy a kis gép.
Pedig mindent a leírások szerint végzek.
MIcro Sd kártyát+Mini SD adaptert használok (nék) Dinguxra.
Van vmi ötleted, hol lehet elhibázni?

@overjojokiller Hi. The download link is now in the description.

@twinturbocrusher It's about 1-1.5 meter (3-5 feet) I think. It is really short, but you can use RCA extension cords which are cheap.

hello which version of dingux do you have? and an other question, do you find grand turismo playable or not?
