Your correct, most gun stores have bone heads behind the counter. I have one "bonehead" at my store- but he is in training. If I don't know something, I will tell you. But, we treat everyone like family.

@fxhummel1 I worked at 2 stores selling guns. Half the time the salesmen are just as ignorant as the public. Most of them know about one aspect of firearms use, but know nothing about the rest of it. Just because you muzzleload one weekend a year doesnt mean you are knowledgable. but you can't expect alot out of minimum wage.

This is 97% of gun stores I've been in. Plus I'm apparently a "lil lady" who's gonna need a .38 special cause undoubtedly I'm too weak to rack a slide and I won't train to clear a jam on a semi auto. All this is apparent to the gun store guys just from seeing me walk through the door.

What with record gun sales, increased interest in training, concealed carry, etc., a gun musical could be a real hit. You're just the man to write and score it!

Imagine the plot: from gun noob, to tacticool wannabe, perhaps something on negligent discharges, to finally gaining some real expertise (shooting sports). The emotional climax could be a defensive gun use, resulting criminal and civil challenges - the happy ending, avoiding prosecution and winning the civil suit.
