I think the point is that they were both just speaking in propaganda terms. There was no real point may in either speech other than them saying they know the right way - which they both fail to define and justify. Cruise is just an actor, I find it more depressing to see a possible world leader relying on such tactics - although it's become such a standard that people don't even seem to notice, or just accept it as 'the way things are'.

I am 58, and have been on both sides of this thing. From Barry Commoner's Green Party to Democrats to Republicans. What I have seen, is that no matter what we say, this administration has struggled to keep us safe. The Democratic side has gone so far left they actually frighten me. I do believe we need more work on energy, support renewables, Help the average person, but I truly believe in our Freedom, and our country needs that strength. They have been fighting for us all!

Again maybe I'm wrong but with more life Experience you will realize, that most folks including President Bush are doing the best they know how. Also being the President is a 24 hour a day job on and off duty her performace here shows me shes not ready for the job.

I don't get it. I don't see any sort of link. I don't see any sort of significance, aside from it playing to those that dislike Clinton, and comparing anyone to Cruise is always going to position someone badly.
Moreso, the notion that this type of video has any sort of impact on the voting public is just absurd.

Pretty funny, but I don't think its quite fair to compare Hillary to Cruise. I personally find Hillary to be quite sincere. The way she accepted the question and answered it was quite graceful. Keep up the good work.

I think the point is that they were both just speaking in propaganda terms. There was no real point may in either speech other than them saying they know the right way - which they both fail to define and justify. Cruise is just an actor, I find it more depressing to see a possible world leader relying on such tactics - although it's become such a standard that people don't even seem to notice, or just accept it as 'the way things are'.

She was just giving an honest, off-the-cuff answer to a question. I think it shows her humanity more than her spin power.

Cults are pretty bad, but, scientology has at least one thing to recommend it. Criticizing and publicizing psychiatric excesses, like electroconvulsive therapy, incarceration and handing out drugs like candy is a good thing.
George Bush has given lots of government handouts to his drug industry pals, (check out the Texas Medical Algorithm Project, and the "New Freedom Initiative") and they turn around and make contributions to the Republican Party.
