I gotta tell you guys a funny story. It happened a few days ago. I bought all 3 issues of BFTC for cheap (a dollar each) and after I finished the 1st issue... I threw up! I ate a lot that day so that was y I threw up, but I just started laughing because after reading a bad comic book I threw up! Just thought I'd tell u guys!

BFTC was supposed to be my dream event...

I love how each robin represent an aspect of Batman. I agree that their were more characters than needed to be and how some character seem to act completely OUT of character and painful dialogue.

But, will you atleast say it was a good premise?

And are there any redeeming qualities to this event?

Good premise, horrible execution. Personally I haven't found anything redeemable yet. Our review for the second issue will be up in about a day or two. I have to say I disliked the second issue way more than the first if you can believe that.

I thought this book was the comic book equivalent of a dumb action movie and I enjoyed it for what it was. However, I couldnt overlook some of the flaws which you guys mentioned a few(Damian in particular).

But you guys forgot to mention the worst part about this book, I mean its SO obvious that the new Batman is Jason but somehow Tim cant figure that out? I mean Tim is supposed to be really smart and Daniel made him into an idiot. Like really Tim? you dont know who the new Batman is?

basically tony daniel ruined BFTC: first off, i think its too overrated? Secondly, it aint even suppose to be a standalone comic...whats wrong with BFTC being a storyline within Batman or Detective Comics?

Seriously, Jason was playing the "Good guy" back in countdown with Donna troy, the monitor, Ion etc...and poof suddenly he is a bad guy again...like WTF?

i liked the book... the story was pretty good... there are flaws but all in all its a good story... you should not look for its negative side.. but be on fair ground...

I love how Gotham is chaos without Batman, even though practically half the Justice League is there.

They just need to hurry up and get Bruce back in the cowl. And they need to get Nightwing his own comic again.

LOVED the music playing in the background though!

This book was just all kinds of bad. I agree that they just need to put Nightwing in his own book again, like soon.

I like how Tim Drake is now the same age & build as nightwing. And that Jason Todd is also their equal.

Dude, that's ALL WE'VE BEEN DOING LATELY! It got so bad that I was looking forward to BFTC so we could finally get Jose to rant on something! It all started when he said that the latest issue of Hulk Red was 'ok.'

It all went downhill from there. ;-)

I only read this book because it was reviewed here, otherwise I wouldn't have touched it with a bargepole. The writing is horrible, the art is terrible too. Sort of that psuedo american manga style with lots of speed lines and no backrounds and everybody looks the same so you don't know wtf is happening most of the time.

If you want a real Batman comic try Batman Confidential 27 drawn by jose luis garcia lopez, now THAT is nice art.

At least Brubaker is a good writer and Bucky has actually taken on the mantle for almost a year now...and much as I love Steve Rogers as a character....he dosen't really need to come back, Bucky is doing a pretty good job as Cap

Yeah, Bruce is a man in his thirties. Even a well-built twenty year old wouldn't fit the build. Plus, isn't Tim SHORTER than Bruce? Not an intimidating figure at all.
