  • It looks like the sight would scratch the hell out of the gun does it?

  • @TheXJthatCould The sight is called a C-More and dose NOT scratch my gun. and cost about $250.00. Built for speed, these High Performance red dot sights will take your shooting ability to the next level. By using a single red dot as an aiming point, target acquisition is as simple as point and shoot. The unique Heads-Up-Display (HUD) design provides an unlimited field of view, while eliminating obstruction and tunnel vision common to tube style scopes.

  • @Feroce2003 very cool, so does the sight itself slide or is it stationary, cause ive never seen a red dot for a handgun before

  • @TheXJthatCould The sight is mounted on the frame. Just go to their website for more information.

  • you guys need to show some respect--this guy has thought out a great adaptation to a great gun .may even be useful for a vet with a handicapped hand. Nice job man ,don't let the diapers get to ya!

  • @edadmartin

Thank you for the kind comment. The gun that I use is for competition only and a lot of people just cannot see the mag release from the gun. Once the competition is in your blood nothing else matters. I own many guns all for different purposes.

  • It's a nice idea, i can see some practicality to it and i like it, though i must say i'd personally prefer an unmodded 1911, mag release on the right side takes your finger off the trigger, when you can easily do it with your thumb, so in a real world situation, with someone who can actually fire and reload the weapon effectively the rightside release is a hindrance, also personally i think the 1911 iron sights are more than adequate. but again that's personal pref and i love what you've done

  • Who cares for that mag release, pop? Now add a horn and some lights.

  • Glad to see its just a Springfield. Thought you just ruind a Colt with that gayish red dot bridge assembly mumbo jumbo, man:(

  • @3rd8th1965 You can't see the forest for the trees. The big picture (the Forest) is the mag release. Ruind? just shows you are just a kid that does not even own a real gun.

  • awsome idea i would buy one in a heartbeat

  • Where can I buy that magazine release, and that's a series 80 colt ,right ?

  • @Acefearkiller No one will build it. No, the gun is a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec.

  • ok? but.....what's the point? I mean no disrespect to each his own but give me a nice clean 1911 without all of the distractions

  • @ricksn777 This gun I am showing the magazine release on is a competition gun used in "United States Practical Shooting Association" match.

  • it has been a while since you put this out was wondering if you had made it a finished product for sale?

  • @600rrday No, Sorry

  • I'll admit I'm a novice to firearms but I wonder why this was never implemented. It makes sense to me.

  • This is a great option, I WANT ONE!!!

  • Is that a springfield GI 1911?

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI Yes. Built with Wilson parts.

  • hey were did you get the scope mount , i have looked for one like that , if you could email me i would like to no how to get one my email is country295@yahoo.com thank you and good video to .

  • @country295 That is a C-More sight go to cmore.com

  • How can u get a patent on it or who ever else got it? HK has been making guns with this kind of mag release for years..

  • @VGYugo I do not plan to get a Patent. I just would like someone to make it.

  • For guy who likes those euro paddle mag releases AND 1911s like myself, you sir have created a dream product!

  • @themadscientist13 I agree just no one wants to make and sell it.

  • @Feroce2003

Great ideas often languish before catching on and the guy who comes up with them often loses out. It's an unfortunate but populace truth. =(

My only complaint about the 1911 is I can't hit the mag release without changing grip. You have something there that addresses this and would leave me with a 100% perfect gun. If it will fit any 1911, I'm looking at a Kimber ultra or Springfield EMP, and you want to make another one and I can meet your price, you will sell one. ; )

  • Why do you want a scope, anyway?

  • I would think this would help cut down on accidental magazine drops as well during firing. Ive seen that happen countless times with 1911 models. Great idea. Has anyone show any interest in it yet as far as marketing?

  • @FrozenEMT Not yet

  • Looks good for lefties!

  • how much would something like this cost?

  • @bloggmonster Sorry for the slow reply. If I could get someone to make it I would guess the same as the current mag release cost.

  • Thank you. I do own a Patent for something else and found out the man with the MOST MONEY wins. I got nothing.

  • Do they have carry and conceal holsters for your scope?

  • This gun is not designed for CCW

  • Oh, ok. That scope you have is more intimidating than a laser. Probaly more effective, anyway, there has to be a way to carry a red dot scope.

  • @trombonedemon lmao

  • @mikeorr21 LMAO means laughing my ass off?

I guess each to their own opinion. Have a great day.

  • you should patent this idea, it's very good and efficient.
