I remember me and my younger brother spending the night with a friend and his parents taking us to show biz we left there walked next door to the show and watched E.T. there was also a Children's Palace on the other side... sad thing is now.. the show biz pizza closed down its some stupid store now, the show was torn down after being closed for a few years and the old Children's Palace building still stands but is some 2nd hand market store or something.. and the whole place reeks of crime!!
I remember this place as well, this place was as close to heaven as a kid could get, unlike chunky cheese they had real arcade games not that crap they have now.. what memories!!!
Man I remember going to Showbiz Pizza as a kid. It was way better than Chuck E Cheese. They had the Rock-A-Fire Explosion, Billy Bob, better games, and way better pizza. Great memories!
Ah, I remember ShowBiz Pizza when I was a boy (Arvada, CO. Early 80's). What memories. I was just never able to really become burried in the ball pit like in the commercial. That was the golden age of video games. (sigh) I miss the 80's!
There was a version of one of these commercials, I don't remember if it was this one or not. When the boy goes down the slide and spins like that, he gets to the bottom and some guy in a trenchcoat pulls him into a room and makes him try on different hats. Then he makes him work on some of the robots in that band and the kid looks really confused and has a little cut under his eye. Again, I'm not sure if it was this one because I think that sliding kid is in alot of them.
But at ShowBiz Pizza, you can act like a kid, you can have more fun, than you ever did, you can giggle, you can wiggle, you can flip your leg. ShowBiz Pizza, where a kid, can be a kid.
i still have a token from that place. i dont know how ive managed to keep a hold of it for 20 years, but i did. i used to have a '45 somewhere.... i probably broke that growing up though.
lol, i love how into showbiz pizza you are! and you never even got to go to one?! i noticed on your prof that youre from northern georgia and you cant be too much older than me...we had one in columbia sc. im sorry you missed it. but dont worry, cause sometimes if you werent feeling brave the gorilla could be really scary. ill have to try and scan an image of the token cuz i know it is quite unbelievable...

I used to go to Showbiz pizza as a kid on my birthday.
However not that I am an Adult I enjoy making pizza more than purchasing a pizza.
