This was a failed attempt to turn Jim Ross into a heel announcer because he was just beloved by the fans and there was an outpouring of sympathy because of the condition he had at that time. I actually felt bad for Michael Cole despite being an annoying and atrocious commentator and I hated JR for a while but after Ross got back full-time, I realized how much I missed his work and was glad Cole was gone for good. Never really hated Cole until he took over the reigns on Smackdown.
i feel real sorry for jr , he realy is the greatest commentator in sports entertainment history and this problem is soo sad for him to have to live with but he continued on like the legend he is, he realy is GOOD OLD JR!

Because it was part of the show. He was doing his job.

Good Old JR! I was so happy when he came back on Raw Old School! But Fucking Michael Cole kept ruining the fucking moment! I hate Michael Cole! I remember when he was on Smackdown with JBL, EVERY SINGLE GREAT KHALI MATCH, Khali would put that shoulder nerve grip on his opponent and Michael would ask JBL what it does and how it felt, and Bradshaw had to reword it every week. Drove me nuts.

This is a Vince Russo segment all the way, the way they depicted Jim Ross,s illness, his mother dying & Steve Williams losing is disgusting to lump wrestling in with him personal illness & tragady, They were clearly trying to belittle J.R. as Vince McMahon likes to do, Jim Ross did hit them back harder which is great.
