i`m Singaporean Chinese and i speak Cantonese with HK people.Vietnamese sound similar to Cantonese languages speaking .And i want to ask do many people in Vietnam speak Cantonese?

In Vietnam, English is prefer than other languages. you may hear many words in Vietnamese similar to Cantonese that due Vietnamese language comprises nearly 60% Han-Viet. Vietnam have 54 provinces with nearly 54 variants of Vietnamese language. The hardest voices to hear are in some areas in the middle of Vietnam, some real Vietnamese people cannot hear them any word.

We can use only a word to express alot of different meanings, sometime we can meet a long sentence, but we can not know exactly if it is a real clause or a noun phrase, sometime we can exchange 2 or 3 words together and we have various sentences. I am not sure, may be a word can be a noun, a verb, a adjective and so on.

I have to laud their effort in propagating this fine language. However, I must say, I was not taught the pronunciation that the girls are using. For example the letter 'c' is pronounced as 'kuh' by the one girl whereas I remember it was taught to me as 'xeh' as pronounced by the French. Perhaps, things have changed since my school days.
