    1. I've downloaded demo version and it doesn't work - MSVCP71.dll error

    2. Will your tool allow something like digging a tunnel through the mesh? I need caves in my game.

    I'm seriously considering buying your program(and I don't usually buy software).

  • Hi all that have used this..i terraform land in Second Life and have now got my own full sim..can this program be used to generate 256x256 heightmaps that can be used as RAW files?...if so the author of this program i think would strike it rich! let me know because i love the look of this and see positive potential.

  • What exactly do you want to use it for? Only for height (maps) or also for texturing? How is SL's raw terrain format structed?

  • Well not directly. But I could tell you how the format it exports to works and you could write an importer. I don't have XNA

  • Yes, what is the format - I just recently started working with XNA and it is rather simple to work with, a tool such as this would be a big help [I hate having to program terrain in the IDE...

  • yes,i bet you could save it as an image and upload that as the terrain on most images

  • This was made with dark basic pro.

    Its a tool for creating terrains.

    You can export the terrain and load it to DBP.

  • sounds and looks wery promising for my need..

    i need to edit an xyz-map with existing height, and save that map in xyz.

    or.. i'd rather just import the shapefile(*.shp) or polish-file (*.mp)directly..

    i loose the ocean when i make the map 3d in globalmapper.

    everything just goes flat..

    i got the mountains and hills.. but the islands/ocean dissapears:-(

    what about islands/ocean.. is that posible?

    my map consists of several hundred islands in an ocean.

  • Hi... its really a nice work, but i think your terrain design experience counts more in this example. I don't tested it, but seems to need altitude and slope based texturing. One feature that is missing in good editors today is tiled terrain exporting and editing, in a game with a "world" this is really away from "huge", like a mmorpg or games with 15km+ terrains loading and saving dynamically titles from the hard-disk to memory.

  • I just purchased this software and all I can say is that it an excellent piece of programming. I highly recommend it. Well done to the programmer. It's very easy to use and makes amazing Terrains.
