Indeed, the English language spoken by the interviewer Marilia Gabriela is not good but is better than the Portuguese language spoken by many U.S. tourists who come to Brazil, and better than the Portuguese spoken by the Ambassador of the United States who lives in Brazil for more twenty years and this is very serious.
I am a Brazilian and there is one thing I see in all Brazilian interviewers: their English is often very poor but, instead of hiring a translator (there are thousands in Brazil), they want to show that they are cool and end up failing completely.
I like both of them, Madonna and Marilia Gabriela. I agree with the critics about Marilia Gabriela, she wasn't neither clear regarding the questions nor her English wasn't good enough to be understood. The interviewer at the end said she thought madonna was too arrogant, because of her fame and stuff. She is so clueless and her english is so bad, she couldn´t realise Madonna was being a little (I mean really, just a little) nasty because the questions were way too stupid and senseless. Madonna on Madonna? what is that? She can´t just literally translate things from portuguese. Everybody were laughing from the interviewer. What a shame.

Claro que não te agradou. Você entrevistou uma pessoa de uma cultura completamente diferente das pessoas que você costuma entrevistar. I'm brazilian and journalist as well, and Marília Gabriela (interviewer) is HUGE in my country and that's the problem: she tried to translate thinking of portuguese, so sounds really terrible in english. Many questions lose their sense, and that's why I feel so sorry for this interview. And it's just a mistake, not incompetence (my opinion!) But Madonna was SO FUNNY, I have to say... hahahah ;)
Im not American but I am British, but I still think it's terrible how people here are saying Americans should learn other languages. English is the OFFICIAL word-travelling language. English-speakers dont NEED to learn another language, as there is nowhere near as much to earn as from learning English. English is the world's most important language, and other countries feel animosity because their language isn't as important.

Are you American? You criticize the interviewer who happens to be foreign, and your verbs are conjugated wrong, and you might want to double check a dictionary before misspelling "realize". I'm sorry, but the same way a person who speaks two languages is bilingual, you and Madonna are both proof that a person who speaks one language is called an American. Also, it's not about conjugation, there is no verbal mistake at speaking realize or realise. You failed so bad at your attempt to correct someone. Moreover, there's nothing to be proud of attempting to be "billingual" if you can't speak a foreign language properly, it's quite the opposite: you end up looking bloody stupid as the interviewer did.

The interviewer at the end said she thought madonna was too arrogant, because of her fame and stuff. She is so clueless and her english is so bad, she couldn´t realise Madonna was being a little (I mean really, just a little) nasty because the questions were way too stupid and senseless. Madonna on Madonna? what is that? She can´t just literally translate things from portuguese. Everybody were laughing from the interviewer. What a shame.

Não tem graça ver entrevistas são as mesmas frases , as mesmas perguntas mesmas respostas , tudo igual , pré fabricado , nisso essa entrevista foi diferente , apesar de ser tosca , pelo menos foi mais real , que respostas combinadas , e entrevistador com "cagaço" de estar frente a frente com alguém tão importante , qualquer um tremeria , pelo menos ela foi autentica( ficou chato , não deu certo e aguentou as consequencias do fiasco), isso é ter personalidade

Nossa a entrevista foi chata demais , não houve química , mas foi diferente , quando vejo entrevistadores (isso no mundo inteiro ) são as mesmas perguntas e as mesmas respostas vazias e pré fabricadas por assessores , não existem mais entrevistadores ousados e intrigantes e não existem celebridades com cérebro e vocabulário suficiente p/ responder uma pergunta inteligente , nisso creio que essa entrevista foi diferente , saiu do contexto q estamos acostumados.

Claro que não te agradou. Você entrevistou uma pessoa de uma cultura completamente diferente das pessoas que você costuma entrevistar. Inclusive o mesmo tipo de perguntas e comentários desnecessários. Você como "jornalista" deveria estudar um pouquinho mais de antropologia antes de entrar em uma entrevista falando uma língua que você não tem dominio nenhum e com uma pessoa com experiência de vida e cultura diferentes da sua.

Como ela pode perguntar o que é melhor , entre homens ou mulheres se a própria Marília sabe melhor do que ninguém o que é Marketing e o que não é. Marília é uma notável homossexual e por questões profissionais sempre escondeu isso. @anaclaraaralcana desculpa, mas para entrevistar um artista do nível da Madonna o mínimo que se espera é falar o idioma de uma maneira no mínimo decente. O inglês da MG estava ruim sim... isso não é uma questão de opinião. Muitas perguntas não faziam sentido e a pronúncia estava abaixo de regular. Eu disse que as perguntas foram mal formuladas porque a MG resolveu querer soar "inteligentona" e fez perguntas com termos que só fariam sentindo no nosso idioma, por isso a Madonna não entedia.Péssimo

I'm brazilian and journalist as well, and Marília Gabriela (interviewer) is HUGE in my country and that's the problem: she tried to translate thinking of portuguese, so sounds really terrible in english. Many questions lose their sense, and that's why I feel so sorry for this interview. And it's just a mistake, not incompetence (my opinion!) But Madonna was SO FUNNY, I have to say... hahahah ;)

Im not American but I am British, but I still think it's terrible how people here are saying Americans should learn other languages. English is the OFFICIAL word-travelling language. English-speakers dont NEED to learn another language, as there is nowhere near as much to earn as from learning English. English is the world's most important language, and other countries feel animosity because their language isn't as important.

Now I am in Mexico and will naturalize into a Mexican citizen in 3 years. English is not even the 2nd most widely spoken language. Anyway let's just agree to disagree.

Hysterical, Love it!! This bad ass has a fixation with sex. M's reaction is sooooo brilliant. I think this woman was either trying to put M on the spot..... never a good idea....or she was just plain dumb. M showed her class and her superior intelligence. God how did she stick out the interview so long. This is the funniest ( in a wierd way) I've seen for ages. Still laughing!!!!!

Como ela pode perguntar o que é melhor , entre homens ou mulheres se a própria Marilia sabe melhor do que ninguém o que é Marketing e o que não é. Marilia é uma homesexual e por questões profissionais sempre escondeu isso.Ela sabe os riscos do que é expor a vida íntim. Ela jamais deveria aceitar fazer esses tipos de perguntas aos seu entrevistados pois soa como Hipocrisia..

The real issue is not that ridiculous English spoken by the interviwer, but the 'Blazé', ironic, tired, monosilabic, self-centered way Madonna was representing (I said REPRESENTING) at that interview, 10 years ago!

A verdadeira questão dessa entrevista foi que a Gabi pensou que por a Madonna ser famosa,ela fosse diferente das outras pessoas,e as perguntas dela não tinham nada a veer ! Ja vi várias entrevistas com a Madonna e não acho mesmo que ela seje seca ou grossa .

1:09 OMG love it!! she should have done this after every question, to you all who think your so called "journalist" did a great job she did not leaving aside the language barrier.
Why did she make those comments about "Madonna's porn" of set directed to her audience and not to Madonna? She could have found out she did that for a friend for a college course non Porn at all.. I've never seen a "great journalist" interrupt 3:08 , 6:10 This Chick was lucky Madonna dint just walk out.
