This is a really great video and Lindsay seems such a fun and lovely girl :) She has done such amazing things!

One thing, however, I would like to point out is that I thought this internship was supposed to be a chance for people who could not otherwise get a chance to travel a chance for exploration (because of money issues, family, etc)- and Lindsay has certainly traveled!!-perhaps I'm wrong, but I did just want to point that out :)

I appreciate you two making comments about this. I wanted this last year so badly that I made it happen for myself and kept in mind the STA Intern's duties while abroad. I made videos, wrote blogs, took pictures, and I realized how difficult this is to keep up with...especially at a face pace during the heat of the summer in cultures I didn't understand. It's not an easy task by any means, and I hope to use my experience to push the capabilities of the Interns to new levels. I hope you watch!

I just completely blew the phone interview...I was so nervous I was shaking the whole time...they asked me who I thought would be fun to travel with and I went blank and rambled...I watched all the videos and tried to call them back an hour later. No job; all out of pocket/savings. There's no other explanation for my Big Journey besides, "I had to do it." It's all about pinching the pennies from age 2 onward...and the stellar experiences that lifelong frugality can offer! Schwing!
