I am Guatemalan PROUD! I am from Guatemala (born in US) My family and I took a month trip to visit my family there and what not... we decided to go there... It was very SCARY walking up the stairs to get to the top!  We took many pictures, but It will always be remembered in my heart... I love Guatemala and am proud to say I am from Guatmala! Guatemala ROCKS BABY!

What an amazing place. It was a very powerful city at it's zenith, and had a population that was very high. It makes you wonder what life was like in those days.

Thank you for sharing your videos of Tikal with us. It was especially interesting to me considering we'll be making our first trip there in October '07. It somewhat reminded me of the temples & ruins of Angkor in Cambodia (the jungle, the sounds, & to a little extent the structures). They may have even been built during the same periods in time.

I've been there too...I think that is the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life, and I've been in many places so far...I suffer from vertigos but I couldn't resist to see the jungle from the top of a pyramid

So much of ancient history was destroys...on purpose I believe...there was a knowledge that only a few knew and still today, but most people are oblivious to these incredible landmarks.

I've been there, It's beautiful, It's hard to climb to the top of the ruins but exciting once you get to the top.
