It's never easy to compare drummers or bass players. Sorum isn't "fast" like others, but he's been on time every time I've seen him perform. He's also a decent musician outside of the drums. Hollywood Zen is one of the better unknown or lesser known CD's out there.

I don't think it's right to compare artists, but I think that Matt Sorum is the best drummer playing. There are plenty of really great drummers out there--and some may be as good in their own way--but no one, IMO, is better than Sorum.

well do know what the whole purpose of this video is? it's showing the actual recording for a drum program, they get different drummers to record their signature sound and some of the fills and grooves they are famous for. it does not have anything to do with skill!!! cause when you use the program you can make as difficult/many grooves and/or fills you want, only you're imagination is in the way! I can't say I'm a HUGE crue fan, but I like the drums, listen to the "Smoke the sky".

looks like remo´s logo on the drumheads..could be remo ambassador or emperor..to get this kind of sound, you tune the toms pretty low..if the drumhead,skin has a few wrinkles, just turn it up a little in pitch:P i´m a nerd...
