Thomas is a great drummer, but he kind of fucks this up in a couple spots (namely 1:12 & 2:26). He just never had that laid back feel of Jon Theodore or that Deantoni posses now. Shit even Blake Fleming played this better on the Rollins show recording, granted it wasn't in front of this many people.

Not their greatest song, although Cedric's vocals on this take are pretty damn good. I do like how some really great grooves sometimes rise above the mash, the horns around 10:05 standing out in particular.

But, I do miss the serious groove that Theodore could put down. Complex, yet solid, holding every song together and preventing it from becoming a mess of Omar's ADHD. Pridgen for all his skill wasn't the grounding the others needed in my opinion.

I was talking to Marfred from Zechs Marquise after there set, and i was told through the Rodriguez-Lopez family that in "05" Omar Rodriguez Lopez's 1st choice for his new 2nd drummer was going to be Deantoni Parks, since Deantoni Parks was already working on other stuff, the answer was no. So i was told Omar had to "settle" for the new 2nd drummer Thomas Pridgen lol. Deantoni Parks new 3rd drummer is literlly sick with his latin drum beats.
