I just showed this video AND OTHERS to my boyfriend....I don't know what it's gna take for him to give up alcohol.He keeps saying that he's doing WAY better than he was a few years ago....and YES ..he is doing better....he's off of drugs and doesn't get wasted like he used to...but he STILL drinks and drives.I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE I used to drink...but have been sober now for about 5 yrs..I don't know what it's gna take for him to stop.God Bless ALL these families.I will be praying for y'all.

Sad thing is,no matter how many videos like this are made,people are going to climb into a car drunk and kill someone.The law needs to change,although even if u make it harsher people will STLL do it. Glad I'm still alive today after a near-miss on an interstate. The bastard had come within cm of hitting us. Thankfuly my grandpa saw the black hummer and swerved out of the way. If not for the wider frontage road turnoff, we would have spun out and maybe flipped on the sand. Thankfully up the road the drunkard was caught by sheriffs. I try to not think about what might've happened. If something were to have happpened to my grandpa, mother, and me, would would take care of my other 3 siblings?

God this is soo upsetting, but it is a great video and this information is awesome and I just made my 9 yr old boy watch it because lets face it kids younger and younger are stealing cars, getting drunk and especially boys seem to think they are invincible so I want him to know that anyone no matter how good looking, smart, no matter how much money you have or how old or young you are no one is safe from a drunk driver.

Drunk driving should be legal...victimless crimes should never be punishable offenses. Any situation in which a driver does harm to a person or a person's property should always be punishable. But a cop should never be able to pull over a drunk driver who caused no accidents or property damage and fine or imprison him.

I beg your pardon? Why punish the drunk driver if the driver didn't cause an accident etc?

Well for starters it is ILLEGAL to be under the influence of alcohol and drive a vehicle - thus the person should be punished with a hefty fine and suspension of drivers licence.

Also, when a person gets behind the wheel, drunk, it is a huge risk. Is the benefit of driving home rather than spend a bit more money for a taxi worth the risk of perhaps causing a serious accident?

I live in a community where a grade school teacher was killed in a car accident. As further investigation is completed it is discovered that she was at a B.A.C. of .24.

The careless desision to drink and drive and take a life is totally unforgivable.

Upon reading the newspaper, I was completely outraged and appauled to learn that a TEACHER commited such a horrible act.

I am at a complete loss for words at this point........ ............What more can be said?

This is an excellent demonstration of why I advocate a national criminal alcohol offender registry. Get caught committing any crime while drunk, then you would be put on this registry. For life. Because alcoholic offenders are notorious repeat offenders.

They would not be allowed to own a car. They would not have a drivers license. They would not be allowed to buy alcohol. And people who provide any of these things could be prosecuted.

It would save lives.
