yep just one what you heard is the overlaping singing added in. The singer will sing a part and it gets recorded then sings another part overlaping or the same lyrics with different pitch, strength, time, length etc. It adds to the depth of songs and gives a smooth heavenly feel in songs that echos emotion. It's mostly done in alternative rock types but you can here this style of creating music in newer examples of R&B and possibly a few others.
