is it possible to actually climb the mountains in squamish rather than just acess trails where you see the mountains beside you. are there any trails that actually take you up to the top of the huge mountains? if this is the kind of riding i want where should i be heading to find such a place. alot of the mountains i saw in squamish you could not actually climb them. what trails in squamish are actuaslly built on the mountain tops
With mountains surrounding Squamish, a number of trails can take you right into the alpine, although on most you can't ride to the peak (too steep!) My favourite ride right in the mountains is the alpine area of Elfin Lakes.
Another option for the truly adventurous is heli-biking - charter a helicopter with a few friends, get dropped on top of mountain and ride your way down!
i went to kicking horse mountain resort and was wondering if there are any non bike park trails exactly like kicking horse bike park but not in a bike park if you get what i mean. one thing that i noticed about canada mountain biking compared to usa is canada does not have as high elevation as trails in the usa like colorado. I still think the trails in colorado are unique with their 12,000ft elevation.. canadian & usa rockies have a different fell don't they
Giant bikes are the best.
