  • I love this song used to have it but can't find it anymore :(

  • Great song. Joe Bonamassa's cover kicks the shit out of it though. :~)

  • Thank you so much for posting this, it's perfect!

  • where did you get this song? i cant find it on itunes

  • @kenziemebriggs hi, send me ur email and i'll share it :)

  • @kenziemebriggs

Which is precisely why I have no use for iTunes. Or the meal plan at old folks' homes.

  • I didn't think it was possible, but I love Tim Curry even more now. Such an amazing voice! <3 Tim

  • i would HOPE he does justice to this song , since he was the first to record it and produced on his 1978 album Read My Lips ... produced and played by the co-writers Bob Ezrin and Michael Kamen.

  • @MusicForYourFunk good to know. could'nt find this album online

  • @JeckyS

i used to have this full album online on my 2nd channel, but it got closed due to me posting a few Prince tunes (and Prince can be a major bitch).

i'm going to try and repost the entire album agains soon, i'll let you know when it is so.

  • Damn! READ MY LIPS: Tim Curry ROCKS this song--written for his over-the-top theatrical style--out of the park! I guess the lyrics were just too hard core for 1978. Too bad. Every song on Read My Lips had radical style changes and the album had no direction and little traction, but some songs remain great. I still play this to freak out friends. I LOVE this song still after 34 years. Joe's Version pales, sorry.

  • Tim does more then just justice to this song, he's actually make love with the melody and the lyrics are penetrate my ears with sheer pleasure!

  • Didnt know Joe didnt write it... similar but this guy gets the credit but joes version is better

  • OMG!!! ITs SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE TIM CURRY!!!!

  • Song from the TIM CURRY album READ MY LIPS (A&M 1978)

  • MASTERPIECE

  • This is where Joe got this tune. Its from circa 1972 i think?? Joe did a hell of a job with this tune.

  • Mogao bi slušati ovu pjesmu danima, tjednima, mjesecima uzastopno i nikada mi ne bi dosadila...jebeno čudo :))) Obožavam ovo :)

  • Powerful song- love the guitar . should be released again! A good remake would be " Im so fucking tired"

  • Dick Wagner on killer guitar....Bob Ezrin and Michael Kamen songwriters.

  • Dick Wagner plays the guitar...... AWESOME

  • Did Tim write this song?

  • great!

  • Don't ya feel like Dan Akroyd in trading places when the dog pees on his leg when you really listen to this video.

  • been looking 4 this version for soo long

tim curry is amazing and this song reminds me im so fucking lonley

  • Wow I really like it! so soft

  • mar vel lous !

  • I just can't stop listening to this song. It's so beautifully emotional.

  • Sloe Gin is a fucking masterpiece. Curry opened the door, Smokin' Joe slammed it shut.

    I love both versions.

  • I love Tim's voice...

I like this version better, there's so much more emotion in this version of the song x

  • @computerorphone ...yummy sultry voice! xo

  • Beautiful Version!!! I would always prefer Bonamassa's version (one of my all-time favorites) but I can't help but chill to the bluesy sounds of this version. It clearly takes Sloe Gin to a whole level of blues. Amazing.

  • Really reflects the pain that we all go through in heartbreak and loneliness, best song ever imo

  • I love Joe Bonamassa's version, too, but I've known this one since I was a kid and I have to say, Bob Kulick's solos are absolutely mesmerizing.

  • Heard the JoeB version first and love the guitars but Tim definitely sings this better

  • Comment removed

  • The one thing I like better about Tim's version is the prominence of the bass, Joe never lets his bass players shine....

  • @cyberbmcd I completely disagree, check out Joe live at Rockapalast Eric Czar rips it up... and Joe let's him.

  • @andyboterman True, true butit's the exception NOT the rule...........

  • Happy Valentines day you freakin low life scum sucking bastards!

  • Sung straight from the heart - a heartache in every line. Joey B. does an admirable job of this song - sung in the manner it was written - full of angst!!

  • iprefer this version, cool guy!

  • this is just too amazing..

I love Tim Curry's work so much.

  • prefer the joe bonamassa version if im honest :/ , cool tho

  • the 1st time I heard this song was like wow.. so glad you have upload this song.. last year I was looking everywhere for it.. thanks ^_^
