  • When you record at iso 300 f3.5 at night, its dark right. Ok you stop recording, change ISO to 3200 and F1.4, will it be a lil bit brighter ? I mean i ask this because i have the D7000 as well and i can actually change the ISO while recording which make the movie bright up while recording.

  • is the zeiss lens worth it? Do you think its more "cinematic" than canon/nikon lenses?

  • what lens is this ?

  • does the camera video have audio and you muted it or does it not have it?

    please answer

  • How did you get the video not to flicker in low light? I have a Nikon D5000 and it still flickers even if the ISO is high -_-

  • Why do people always say "I know where this is". What possibly does this contribute? Just like this post, nothing!

  • @joetylerdale you just blew my mother fucking mind, dude.

  • @imlost19 You too brother, I'm picking up mine as we speak!

  • is this the Nikon D5000D 12.3 Megapixel Digital Camera 18-55mm Zoom Lens w/ 2.7" Screen - Black???

  • Impressive image quality. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality, even at ISO 3200. When video recording on DSLR's came out i thought it was a gimmick, best left to compact cameras, but I can see the reasoning now. things have moved on very quickly in the last couple of years.

  • I will definitely have a go at more video with this camera! I don't think that slagging off camcorders is fair, though - not everyone can afford a DSLR, and a lot of camcorders do better sound. My camcorder is comparably old (with Mini DV) and can be a bit of a hassle to transfer videos, but the sound is rather good, and with 3CCDs it is reasonably good quality. I also find that the camcorder copes better with panning than the D5000.

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • gay!

  • stupid amount of "noise" in this video. Use a much smaller ISO!

  • If you life in L.A/ the valley thumbs up!!

  • iso 1600 is better than 3200

  • Read the description dude

  • F1.4! That's low!

  • dis it have mircophone to pick up sound

  • Where and how is the camera placed on the vehicle?

  • Get that AE lock going on there. Google it. It's easy to set. I did it and get no more light/dark jumpy-jump.

  • hi. I have a Nikon D 500th and I wonder if you can make an ISO when shooting? is set to ISO 32 but I do not think it will be somebody difference

  • this almost looks like a michael mann movie :) i like it.. incredible quality for a photo camera by the way.,...

  • I have more footage with 70-300, 55-200 and 18-55 lenses

  • @PatrickOtamatic Are You from L.A.? Where Are You At?

  • i know right where this is

  • like it very nice video

  • Im probably getting one!

What should i edit with to get good quality on youtube?

I dont have a mac though,,,

  • you can edit with anything, it just matters how you export it.

i recommend getting sony vegas for editing.

  • @PanicItsMallory you dont need a Mac, many great programmes for Pc, like Avid, Sony Vegas and others!

  • I owe Canon's 1080p Is pretty shitty,

    but compare Nikon's D5000 vs Canon T1i,

    Canon T1i= 720p has 30 fps

    Nikon D5000=720p has 24 fps,

do the math, i think Canon Has Way Better

Picture Quality And HD Video Quality,

I dont own non-of these, so im not bias,

but soon will get a DSLR after weeks of research.

  • dude ur a fuckin idiot. 24 fps isnt better or worse than 30 fps. they both just give different feels.

and do the math. can your computer handle a ton of 30fps videos in editing, let alone 720p HD? hmmmm...

  • Garentee you own a nikon or little alone a nikon d5000, have you seen this vid, its so shitty man, look at it, its so fuzzy. If we're talking about video quality between the canon t1i (500D) & Nikon d5000, canon wins hands down, but pictures, it all depends on the person's skill. But overall canon wins this one. i didn't see a review between these two on google saying that nikon d5000 wins over t1i. all review say than Canon t1i took this match. and your the idoit. 24fps<30fps.
  • bullmothershit. XD

cmon son. have you seen the 7D's 1080 @ 24fps and the D3s' 720/24? that stuff is gorgeous. I never said i was talking about these entry-level cams man.

  • dude, video on dslr dont replace a camcorder. if u need good quality video HD then get a camcorder for the job. between canon and nikon thers no much difference at all. they are both equally crappy. but with good lenses and a good tripod the thing changes. they perform good if u know hot to treat them. i have a d5k and when coupled to my 70 300vr i can make some awesome closeups, cinema quality directors cut scenes. but with the help of a tripod too.

  • that's my entire point. the bokeh from a f/1.4 nikon or canon lens will outdo anything from say, a stock XL2, for less cost. add that to non-panning shots and a tripod and you've got something you can really do a lot with, given that you learn how to operate your gear properly.

and i so have to say, camcorders get way too damned expensive before they feature good, bokeh-rich lenses.

  • Camcorders are just stupid.

Not too many camcorders get this type of quality for the money, plus, how many sub-$700 camcorders have removable lenses?

And my camcorder was $300, doesn't even have manual focus, so therefore, it is a POS!!

Don't even get me started on the price of a FireWire cable vs the price of a USB cable!!!!!

I'd rather pay $700 for the D5000, than pay $40 for a cable so my camcorder is usable, and it don't even shoot HD!!

  • @BarricadeSlade or pay less for the camera whatsover, and get a sx20, it is truly a beast. You shouldn't get a sx30 the sensor is to big for it to handle, so its more noisy, and fuzzy, the sx20 has hd video just like this and on ebay you can get it for around 200$. I got mine super cheap in like new condition for 140$

  • we were talking about D5000 vs T1i

now you want to jump in 7ds and d3s,

wtf, dude all im saying, between the

    Nikon D5000 And Canon T1i (500D)

Canon wins hands down, sorry to all D5000

    owners but, You should've bought a t1i.

call me a hater but shit, facts are true.

    And Cava(lier)777, your an asshole,

stfu and stay away from peoples opinion.

  • yo bruh, T1i obviously pwns the D5000(D90) in video. you're the one to imply that all of canon's 1080 sucks.

and too bad you're talking to someone who uses D200s and 30Ds. so now it's your turn to shut da fuck up :)

  • wtfs i never say nothing about "ALL canon's 1080p sucks" at all, i was refering to the t1i

since it shoots 1080p at only 20fps,

you ask everyone, thats pretty lame.

and D200s and 30Ds, thats nothing compared

to my canon eos-1ds mark III, niggah,

little alone my mark IV (selling), so shut the fuck up,

you white ass niggah, who is the only guy

who needs to bend down to pee.

fuck you mathah fucker, suck your grandaddy

dick, even if hes in his grave, digg it niggah.

  • ay brah im 100% certified NOT WHITE. i heard you like mudkips.

  • Then you must be 100% certifed slave niggah,

black guy who is wanted by the KKKs,

you mudkips lover who loves to suck

    your daddy's white left ball,

back ass niggah, haha you make me laugh

niggah, now plant my crops slave tobie.

  • lol PETER CHAO IS NOT RACIS! HE LOVE THE BRACK PEEPO!

  • Now Tobie is the President! Your ignorant! Everyone Came from Blacks! Look up Journey of man!

  • you think i care,

    ask me if i care,

    you must be a niggah

so i no give a fuck niggahh,

  • canon sucks. period.

  • nope, canon sucks. always did.

    Nikon has always been ahead.

  • your just being bias,

i didn't say all canon beats all nikon,

im just saying that Canon t1i Beats Nikon D5000

and this is through Reviews on alot of site,

see it for yourself on GOOGLE,

  • Canon T1i has this non-usable crappy 20 fps mode in 1920 x 1080p... now where the fuck Canon get this fps mode from? Is not even a Cinema 24fps mode... So Canon Rebel t1i and Nikon D5000 shoot at the same rate per second on the 1280 x 720p mode... the Canon HD mode is useless... Make Your Choice...

  • that's not how you spell "liar" son.

  • oh dear. "blank penis"

medic! i think we've got an aneurysm victim here!

  • what a loser -___-'

  • el oh el, desu.

  • canon 500d is better than nikon, he can full hd 1080p for 20 fps, but very very good quality

  • Watch My Nikon D5000 Video TESTS , Thanks"

  • why the hell dont you have any music?

  • because it's a freakin' camera test :-)

  • @ThreeCrowns this is just a test man....

  • @ThreeCrowns LOL I think your looking for a music video!!!

  • ventura blvd is beautiful at night

  • D5000 would be same class as 500D (t1i)

  • Comment removed

  • canon actual film quality looks horrible though..

  • click the hd botton it get better

  • is it true that you CANT zoom and focus once the camera is taking video

  • its controlled by the lens.. so no thats not true...

    thats just common sense?

  • yes u can zoon but manual focus.

that means on video mode the camera wont autofocus :]

  • no. zoom is always manual on dslrs, so you can always zoom. however it does not have AF while taking video, only manual focus.

  • yet it has 3D tracking, soooo.. :)

  • no,you can

  • i do have a question..nikon d5000 it's in the same class like canon 500d ? or the nikon d90 it's in the same class as canon ?

  • For a low price, I think D5000 is definitely worth it.

  • Sweet Video, Its hard for me to no justify this camera.

  • thats on ventura blvd right?

  • You nailed it!

  • I believe with the prime lens at f1.4 we could have dropped the ISO to 800 and gotten less noise and still captured enough detail. This test was "extreme", just to see how much we could push the camera to capture at night.

  • Its a beautiful sMPLE OF NIGHTSHOT VIDEO. .. . I'm incredibly impressed. . . I've seen a ton of reviews and comparisons . .even for its imited video capture and focus. . . I'll still get it .

  • nice, I don't this you can get this level of exposure on an average camcorder, anyone agree? The big sensor helps capture a lot of light,
