Oh please, You MUST upload the demo to a hosting site like rapidshare or something... I'm sure you will go down in RH history to all fans for showing us these gems! *wipes tears*
Wow, those drums were a solid decade and a half/two decades ahead of their time. Fascinating sound overall, considering where they went after this, and then came back to.
they were so ahead of their time. I hear so many bands making stuff that sounds like this NOW. Geniuses waiting to happen.
This only proves the whole pablo honey theory more. They had to make poppy catchy stuff and gain a following and a name before being able to go back and make the stuff they wanted to make. stuff more like this. stuff more like radiohead.
Seems like Pitchfork are fine with my postings. They published them just an hour ago and credited me. The copyright on the tape is O.A.F. Records......maybe THEY could chase me! I doubt Thom would be pissed off. He's in to sharing on the internet, they may have drawn tiny crowds to The Old Fire Station in 1992 but as of tonight almost 1500 people have listened to and enjoyed two songs that they wrote as 17 and 18 year olds. If Thom were to talk to me about this I'd totally justify it.
@tyciu Actually Thom and Colin were 16 going on 17 ....Ed and Phil are a year older. Thom, Colin and Raz were in Lower 6th. Ed and Phil in upper 6th. My husband was in Thom's year.
@filhodabeira Listen to the other song from the tape that I have uploaded. They were actually very keen on The Waterboys hence the sax. They were fans of U2, can't deny that influence but art begins in imitation and ends in innovation.
@Dakkon544 yea i was talkin about the tempo, yea two snares sounds about right, and yea theres a blonde redhead song i think its 23 where it sounds like were i end too, check it out!
I sincerely miss those heavy metal bands.. I used to go see on the landing in the summer...
cool song :) thanks for the upload
This is offtopic but there's a horrendous katy perry song up on the right ''the one that got away'' that references Radiohead near the start of the song.
wow. thank you very much for posting this! a nice discovery on a thursday morning. I think fairly soon many radiohead fans will discover this clip. I would love to see fragile friend next. very much appreciated klootme!
