Scientists use other methods in combination with distilling. Type-1 is the purest. Again, it's how picky you want to get. There is a great article on the Audiogon forums about water and storage. The author, Justin Time, did great research and it fell perfectly in line with what I had read previously. I'll trust him.
PS - Don't criticize another man's decisions. It's disrespectful and arrogant. I assume you harrass fat people and motorcyclists too. Think twice. My life is great, thanks.
You're wrong about distilled water. Distilled water is the purest water you can buy. It's 99.999% H2O. Reverse Osmosis is not as pure. I have been using distilled water from my home water distiller to clean my records using my VPI 16.5 for more than 20 years.
Distilled water contains no minerals that's why you should always use it in tea kettles, irons, etc.
Other than that, great video.
P.S. Give up the smoking, you're slowly killing yourself.
I completely understand! The better cartridges, turntable, amps, headphones etc. pick up any and every little sound. You can have a record that looks clean and sounds like its covered in gravel. Good work and thanks for the tips. P.S. checkout my videos on records and jukeboxes on my channel.
