i kinda find it as a insult sometime swhen they use this term. even tough iam half filipino, i think it should be privileged to able to speak english especially to a person from another country.
using this term just shows disrespect towards the other person & also sanctions any other form of close communication.

@LivinusX well for a start, it just shows no common curtosy towards the english speaking person and also establishes a lack of respect. nose bleed should not be used as an excuse for not communicating.
i some filipinos who can speak english but they should not be embarrased to use it. where do u live?? have u been to the philippines abroad from ur country. im not being skeptical but u should look at thing from different perspectives rather than prejudice if u havent experienced enough.
@HighDefinitionEDM ive lived in the phil for about 6 years total. nad personally i dont give a damn about your opinion. why? because its just completely stupid. im more british than filipino, but just because YOU can speak english fluently that doesnt mean the rest of the country has to. you just insulted the way filipinos speak english, and i for one, are disappointed. i didnt expect some idiotic smart ass trying to act superior to show up all of a sudden.
