That's not my logic. Overall, they protect our country, not just a particular war. Countries need a military. I'm not agreeing with interfering in the middle east at all (I also agree they should be pulled out) but also keep in mind that the soldiers aren't choosing war, but are choosing to do something most humans don't want to. Its the president and the rest of congress that influences war, and they step in and take action so that I and the rest of us don't have to.
