Okay, I am Danigirl, just on my new account. I know what you are talking about, just act like there is a bungee cord between your legs, you stretch it as FAR as possible, as high as possible yuo might feel ridiculous but make it feel like you feel stupid for stretching your legs to wide, keep your body straight, and snap down to a landing, one foot at a time.

I'm teaching my friends, but there are a few problems:

One of them does it good, but when she does it, she starts facing me forward and she doesn't end it facing backwards, she ends it sideways. Oh, and the other can't fully extend her legs. And both end their cartwheels sitting on the floor, not getting up on straight legs. Any help?

Mmm, it could be because of not stretching, just stretch and your legs will get use to it. And just try and get your body straight when you land, there is nothing I can do to help about that. It could be the way your hands are turning.

Well...just try and fix your hands. when you are going over look directly at your hands and MAKE them turn. make yourself do it. just set your mind to it.

and then..your leg..

well lots of people do that sometimes its out of feer or unsecurity. once you've got on your hands good, focus your whole mind on keeping that leg straight.

I've tried back can't do one. I can't seem to go over where your feet are actually straight up in the air. I always go to the side. I've tried pushing off, but can't get over. Is it because my legs can't spread wide apart. I'm not flexible. Do you know where I can go to get help? have someone when you are turning over to grab onto your hips, and make them put you up straight until you can do it on your own.

and stretch a lot.

or an aerial or maybe even a one handed cartwheel and then from there you might be able to overcome your fear and learn the backflip without hands and a front flip without hands

After a cartwhell, you want to learn to trust yourself, so start doing one handed cartwheels. If you can do that fine, just start doing round offs, hand stands so you can build up a form for a back handspring, then get a safe TRAINED spotter to spot you for a back handspring, but before you start a back handspring tell them to have you do a jump station, the spotter will know what I mean. and make sure to go over every single movement. Maybe Ill post a video up and send it to you. who knows.
