  • Respond to this video... yo when ryu attacks and even when he walks it reminds me of strider for the nes

  • This guy clearly dosen't know how the boss works, otherwise they would have finnished him off a lot quicker.

  • looks like the Master version, with had great graphics but poor level design

  • thanks for the memories :-)

  • the music owned ps3 game musics.

  • Easiest Ninja Gaiden, it was fun though.

  • Use your damn special weapons!

  • I prefer Ninja Gaiden series on NES, much better music and graphic.

  • i realy liked this game back in the day still looks good

  • Anyone have a mp3 of the theme song thats looped over and over again? Been looking for it for ages....

  • i cried when i heard the opening theme it reminded me of my childhood

  • @taki255 It's funny how alot of these 8 bit/16 bit games have that effect on us! I wonder if the kids these days will feel the same when they are older and they hear themes from Playstation and X Box games..

  • @actionfigures95 i bet they would to, it's like some kind of escape from an unforgiving world

  • I used to own this back in the day, quite a good little game.

  • I love this game, definitely my favourite Game Gear game: it is easier than the NES version especially since when your attack your whole body becomes a weapon and anything you touch dies meaning that you don't need to time so well

  • oh dios mio si yo a este juego jugaba cuando era muy pequeño que recuerdos

  • Looks very different from the nes games.

  • i played this game on my game gear many years ago. i loved it!

  • man i love this game but up untill the 4th lvl boss its way to easy

  • omg :D:D

i forgot that i played it when i was 5

    haha

  • i had the 1 for the NES.

  • how is this linked to ninja gaiden on x-box?

  • this came out before the x-box was even a concept, the x-box one are just once made for 3-D consoles and for a new generation

  • actually i refrase that how is ninja gaiden on the x-box linked to this?

  • I think the chronology if the Xbox/Sigma games, Ninja Gaiden Shadow, the NES Trilogy, this, the Master System game, and finally, the Dead or Alive series.

  • Love this game's music. It's so fucking great, even for Game Gear.

  • Ryu, you'll find your princess in another castle. Rofl!

  • the master system version looks better by far

  • only shinobi of the gg can compete with this masterpiece , blessed mother of god this is one of the most beautiful games ever made just like the graphics and music...is gold pure gold

  • i agree, reprogrammed by sega

short... but oh, so sweet :)

gg shinobis are some of the best stuff on the game gear for sure

  • My first game ever. How many hours spent on it. I'm so nostalgic.

However, very bad playing here. :P I was able to beat the game doing all perfectly.

  • Wow this looks good for the GameGear. Sure its battery life wasn't that good but it was really impressive compared to a old Gameboy

  • Yea sure, it seem to me he's trying a speedrun, watch he knows perfeclty the game

  • good for you quit bragging

geez it seems like youtube ain't safe for casual gameplay vids anymore

  • Are you sure you posted on the right video?

he said nothing about speed running.

  • i still cnt believe i used 2 loooove this game

  • yeah! I played this game when I was 7! back on 1989

  • when i played this game, i LOVED the music of the first 3 levels and the title screen, by far the best 8 bit music ever to be made =D and also to fit it is a awesome 8 bit game. this was a true accomplishment and a game well made ^_^ i love it till this day and i really wish i could DL teh music D:

  • The title screen music is something I have never forgotten. What a beautiful game *.*

  • dude... not just the title screen... first 3 stages of music i could NEVER forget... and they always jingle in my head time to time.... this game just kicks ass in 8 bit music ._.

  • ha and i thought sigma was the first ninja gaiden game i played this game rocked when i was a young lad the skyscraper was the best part

  • used to have this game. cake walk compared to the NES Gaidens. fun though

  • I still got this game for my GG. I beat it so many times, but it was always as fun as the first time. Pure awesomeness.

  • I had just forgotten how awesome the music this game's music was! great stuff :)

I got it in summer '92 or something like that, I think, and I became the absolute master of Ninja Gaiden GG, I could beat it with my eyed closed.

    good times... great memories :)

  • I loved this game when it came out. I got to the last boss in a few days, then it took me months to learn how to beat him. In my days I could beat the game in about 12 minutes.

  • this game was hard, gotta play it again sometime

  • The problem of the emulator? I remember the bgm is a little bit different from my gg

  • This Reminds me of the NES Version somewhat not like the Arcade Version which I kinda liked too as A Lil' Kid.

  • hey! ninja gaiden rules,so u suck

  • I had this game on game gear!! and ive been wondering for years what it was!!

For some reasmon I convinced myself it wasnt ninja gaiden!

    jesus what a great childhood

  • the best games were from the early years, wii and ps3 can go fuck it self

  • Comment removed

  • i remember something like your sword actually gets taken away, but the bad dudes didnt realize that the ninja could just materialize it into his hands at will. post the rest!!! ha I loved this game

  • the very begining of the video reminds a lot David Jones them from pirates of caribbean

  • I actually liked the music on the first stage. Never got to stage 2.

  • omg this them is catchy i cant wait for the new one

  • Wow. I never expected to find this. I've never seen the game gear version before.

  • I recently beat this and damn, it's short :(

  • Haha same here. I recently found a real copy and beat it on the first insert. After all that, I'll get the whole game up soon, cinemas and everything

  • never mind...KamilDowonna beat me to it

  • Comment removed

  • @Barryms0083 That means you find/found it hard, not that it wasn't short.

  • it was one of the first games I had for game gear along with columns

  • At the end of the video as well in the game... when you beat that guy, does he fart? :) Anyway, the game rocks! It was the first game I bought for Game Gear.

  • I used to play Strider Returns a lot on my gamegear.. it looked much better than this.

  • This is one of th best Game Gear games same as Shinobi II, Battletoads and Mortal Kombat..

PD: To defeat the fat first boss easily show him your back (don´t see him) and when he is goimg to attack you respond attacking his unprotected stomach!!

  • man i used to love this game.

  • I just bought this game today! Its really cool!

  • wow for what system i wanted to play the new ones

  • I just bought the Sega Gamegear Ninja Gaiden. Theres also Ninja gaiden on the NES and XBOX

  • o,so they have ninja gaiden on the old-game boy (very-hard-to-find) and the S-NES, has a collection of the 3, NES games (that-one-extremely-hard-to-find-and-if-do-it-well-cost-you-A-lot-) o,most forgot to say that ninja gaiden start it, in the ARCADE has a, 2 payer FINAL FIGHT, type game before it went to the 8bit, NES'

  • I have Ninja Gaiden for the Game Boy. I bought it brand new in '00 at $10.

  • you lucky bastard im still looking for that game

  • Class game - got this on Jap import and a couple of multi-cart carts for my GG that I bought years ago. Wicked graphics and playability, but too easy. Great vid tho! :)

  • I remember it, i used to borrow its cartidge from a friend. so hard to complete this game. great memories.

  • i like best the Nes Version

  • I remember this!, I havent played this since I was about 7 or 8, a friend of my brother lent it to us, for some reason its always stuck out in my mind as Shinobi, I don't know why. I love the sound of the Game Gear!, theres just something about the GameGear that I love, maybe because it was my childhood console (that and the Dragon 32)

  • Ahh, Ninja Gaiden for the Game Gear. Very decent game with solid, playable mechanics as any other Ninja Gaiden. One gripe I have with this one is the special weapon shortcut being Down+Attack instead of the usual Up+Attack but still a good platformer for the Game Gear.

  • Man I feel like an idiot. I never knew this game existed. I had a Game Gear too. This game looks pretty sweet. I am going to hav eto look it up.

  • played this game out several times

the buda guy who turns into a 3 eyes monster and the endboss are fucking hard man

  • i got this too.

I love the title screen music as well as stage 1!

  • wow i have not seen this game in years

  • Never knew there was a Game Gear version of Ninja Gaiden. I also love the music.

  • Interesting, thanks for sharing.

  • it's pretty good, only problem I have with it is the graphic style looks pretty bland and lacks contrast.

  • odd setting for a NG game, at least for the beginning

  • I still have this game in my closet somewhere.

  • Still have this in my closet somewhere.

  • I agree With Digi it looks ok It beats the hell out of the Genesis version.

  • this one seems less challenging than the sega master system version,i got ticked at a ledge i couldnt go up in that one...ill have to try this out...

  • not bad! looks and plays pretty decent.
